Go grab their QB and WR and build around those guys for the next 2 years, both 1st and 2nd year guys. Would make sense NIL wise with proven production and spend on the lines.

Good luck. Stanford doesn't compromise on academic standards. The only reason they're any better than Rice is because they've played in Power conferences.

Hell, John Elway couldn't even win there.

Speaking of Oklahoma State, Texas A&M legend Mike Goodson was actually scared of Drew Svoboda in high school. Not so much future Blinn coach Ronny Feldman.

How would you feel going after Austin Mack from Bama?

So he's a 4th year guy that has never earned the starting job, albeit he's been behind some pretty talented QBs. He could go somewhere next season and be great, like the olemiss backup from last year that is now starting at Mizzou. Seems like the type of guy you bring in to compete for the starting job if you don't go the "day 1 starter QB1" route. I don't know if Elko can miss on QB next year, actually he can't.

True but his offense this year is incredible, although it's very pass heavy. The one knock is their rushing offense is ranked 108th at only 131 yards a game. Don't know if that's personnel or scheme related.
