I doubt that highly. Recruited Ivy athletes in the 90's had an average SAT of 1100-1200. So Elmo being smart is most likely a misnomer.

One of the guys I played with in my senior year went on to play for Princeton, and let me tell you, this guy was certainly not the sharpest tool in the shed. 1988.

I just always found it so stupid that when he does something questionable, talking heads shuts down the discussion with, "He will figure it out bc he is the smartest man".

What has he done in his FB career to think he has some brain edge?

can sorta confirm. I was a 1350 sat and 30 or 31 act and was recruited by a couple of ivy's, and a number of those "elite" private schools. Those numbers are good, but nothing special, and were more reflective of fairly skilled test taking than any "smartest guy in the room" credibility.

Plenty of basic folks walking around "elite" schools.
