I have a safe place, but it isn't here, lol. I don't want or expect an apology from Elko. He was ill advised to say what he said, but so what. Words don't bother me, Started with the "n-word" business, then the "c-word" and other things. I don't get my feelings hurt, or pretend to, if someone calls me a white boy, a honky, a redneck, or a cracker. They can say them to me or about me, don't have to say the "???-word" instead. People need to toughen up, get thicker skin.

But I would never say fatty, or the like, when talking about Elko, it wouldn't make me feel better about things to say anything like that. I have commented on his wearing a hoodie, and other coaches on our staff who do, and I saw some other coach in a game last night wearing one as well as one of our high school coaches recently. They serve no purpose other than I suppose a fashion statement. Feel the same way about a visor, neither of these look good on an adult male. They must feel otherwise, so what the hell.

Stop and imagine if 100% of this board were anti-elko and anti- everyone involved in leading this program 100% of the time. That is not survivable. It is devastating.

He tried to parse fans from posters on this site. Good luck with that. How many posters have ag tags. How many of those have parents, grandparents, children and grandchildren that are aggies. Ring wearin tuition payin, ticket buyin, channel watchin AGGIES. A coach is not an aggie...he is an employee. He better apologize without parsing. We know who the t-shirt fans are...thats ours to sort and police. Even those, by turning on the tv channel, increase the value of the brand, the commercials, the NIL $, and his bottom line. This "smart" coach needs to brush up on econ, consider the macro aspect, pucker up, and get right with the horse that brung him.

Well, in all seriousness, this place can be toxic at times. Take a look at some of the posts last year when we were on our 11-game winning streak. Many folks were almost rooting for the Ags to lose. We used to call them trolls.

I don't care if he does. Jerk gets paid to win and he is not doing the job. Doesn't affect my life so screw him.

I'm amazed how hard it is for people to apologize. Many just can't go there. Ironically, I've found that a sincere apology takes a ton off the one giving it.

If people can't receive it…then that's on them.
