There were 7 games last year that the Ags won by 3+ scores. There were 29 TOTAL pass attempts by the 3 backups.

Reed has had years to improve and is regressing. I dont see upside in leaving him in anymore. Zero teams respect pass with him in and it hurts running game. At least a different qb gives some threat of a completion downfield so they dont stack the box. Arkansas would be a good game to make the switch

You have no idea what you are talking about. He has attempted 19 passes. 10 last year and another 9 this year. 1 TD and 1 int.

All that tells us as fans is he can throw a td and an int. Apparently, he is not going to get it this year, but Hart would need a few weeks of 1st team snaps and few full games to know how he adjusts.

The staff has claimed Reed is the guy, do you believe that after 4 games and all the 1st team snaps with this OC?

Watch the film... He has 9 this year for 36 yards. Only TD is from a wide open WR on a coverage bust. INT was thrown directly to the LSU player. You can say that he needs 1st team reps, but i am pretty sure Aaron Gregory was catching passes from Hart all the way up to week 2.

Yes you are right. Who is truly the last high level QB at A&M? Whats wrong is scouting and development. That's why QB's come here, transfer, and make a name for themselves elsewhere (Haynes King, Conner Weigman, Kyler Murray). It is a reoccurring theme in for the program.

I had not considered the NIL contributors having some leverage over Elko. Perhaps they do. The big contract extension certainly doesn't provide leverage over Elko.

If you are correct, the likely point to make the change would be after the Missouri game, unless the Arkansas game is the last straw.

I know stats are for losers, but

Both Hart and Casuga have better completion efficiency and TD/int ratios than Reed coming out of high school. Both are above 65% and 4:1 td/int ratio. Casuga was recruited by Klein, not sure about Hart.

Reed was 55% completion percentage and 2:1 td/int for his last two years of high school. Reed was committed to ole miss and lane before switching to A&M.

Let Hart and Casuga practice with the ones. It may help having Reed practicing with the two's.

This is not true. When Weigman got benched in the LSU game, he finished 6 of 18 for 64 total yards. That was good for 3.6 yards per completion and a of QBR 11.9. -14 yards rushing. Granted he was pulled in the third quarter so it is possible he might have broken 100 yards. Maybe his completion rate goes up in garbage time.

Reed vs LSU. 10 /26, 106 yards. 4.1 yard per completion. QBR 31.3. <---You should still be benched for this but let's not pretend Weigman was pulled for no reason.

Been down this road before. The most popular QB is the guy on the bench.

That said, when is the last time we had a qb that got better with experience? Mond....maybe? Been a rare thing for us going back a long way.

The most popular QB is the one on the bench because the one on the field always stinks. The fact that Marcel is top 5 in passing yards in our history speaks volumes to how terrible we've been at that position.
