Painful to watch. The process is broken.
Too much stuttering and sympathetic tone by those asking the questions.
A&M decision makers made another wealthy man that can't win. Our football program is a joke.
Sorry, what exactly was addressed in the press conference? Nothing. There were only some milquetoast questions and inadequate responses.
He is a GM or a bean counter just like the AD.
Someone asked about making a change at QB, his answer sums up the entire problem with the program, "no".
The follow up is: IS ANYONE ON THIS STAFF COMPETENT ENOUGH TO HAVE THEM PLAYING BETTER FOOTBALL?

Cheer up Elko.., you are going to get your money one way or another. Some of your players are going to pocket generational wealth and retirement like money. What's there not to be happy about?
By the way, if I was in charge, you are staying until 2031. Im not paying any more buyouts, regardless of what any dumb BMA wants to do. First, I'm going to help you build a better and deeper staff that can compete with their SEC counterparts. Second, we are going to heavily scrutinize how we identify talent and recruit. Third, we are going re-build our NIL organization and strategy from the ground up, which will include shutting down NIL United and taking nothing from the TMF donors (do more with less will be the new vision, with the same goal every year, win the SEC)

I think it's obvious the staff feels our best option at QB is Reed. That's where we are and it is what it is. If there was a better viable option on the roster the change would be made, but there isn't.
The Oline is getting killed, and that makes Reed look even worse. Put Hart in as a pocket passer and you think things get better?

Because Reed gives us the best chance to win. Despite the results of the past two games- if he can pull it together he is the best QB ready to go. QB Hart will need some prep.

Also, the decision makers are idiots who always give contract extensions to non-winners, but here's what actually happened (they should report it in the Batt) …..Jimbo called Elko up and said, "Hey, I need a fishing buddy so just lose a bunch of games and stand in front of cameras with no answer for what needs to be done as a coach, but Mike, when I go fishing I spend a million dollars a trip so wait for them to start paying you after they hire another coach to relieve you and then between the two of us we can go on over 100 fishing trips a year!"

Reed was 10/26 for 107 yards and 1 int. He did worse from his horrendous Kentucky showing.
He is not the best option. People just say that because Hart or Casuga have not been given a chance.

Elko is in way over his head. Totally clueless-we have to find a better way to play football. He's the head coach/CEO of his team and has no idea. He hired the coaches, he's responsible to get the team prepared and he's responsible for player personnel and positions. And he has no clue. Wow. Just painful to watch that presser. Lack of leadership from top to bottom. I pin this on the admin and BMA's that gave this dufus an extension. I'm tired of every time we hire a coach, we here, he gets A&M. Yes he gets A&M screwed. We sure don't know how to run a business (football program). Totally pathetic and laughing stock in the SEC and Texas
I think it's clear to Mike Elko and the coaching staff that Marcel Reed is the best option at quarterback because they would have benched him if there was a better option. The biggest problem is the offensive line have struggled and made Reed look even worse. It's even more frustrating because two of the five starting offensive linemen have some SEC experience: left tackle Tyree Adams transferred from LSU and Wilkin Formby transferred from Alabama.
