We looked pretty good against ASU

Only in the 4th quarter. Hell go look at the stats they pretty much whipped our butts everywhere but in penalties and points and points is really all that matters.

To be fair, the have-nots are on TV or streaming a lot more than they used to be. We see a lot more of them than we used to.

The reward for being good at a have not/G6 program is that the better you are, the more your talent (coaches and players) is going to be raided. It will be extremely difficult for any G6 team to have sustained success. Or really, even most mid to lower ACC or B12 teams or lower SEC/B10 programs.

I'm guessing more often than not, the coach of the G6 team that makes the playoffs will accept another job before those playoff games are played.

Sadly this is true. Long gone are those years a Washington state or Purdue (Brees) win the conference. Those guys will be gone before their senior season. Sucks. Those years made college football better.

Western Michigan technically beat Michigan in the big house. Oregon State, a PAC refugee, gave money bags Texas Tech all they could handle. Tulsa beat OSU who then beat moneybags Oregon. I think your hypothesis is fundamentally flawed.

Honest question-Historically, what is the difference between Purdue vs Indiana from that perspective? With Brees, Purdue had a good coaching staff and developed a good quarterback to win. How is that different than what Cignetti just did with Mendoza?

When id the last time a non-football school won anything in the big 10? It's impossible now for the non blue bloods to win. You have to go all the way back to last year to see an example.

Well his whole team was transfers. It wasn't grass roots. But point taken. I think it now boils down to who has the money. There will be a few exceptions to the game that are rich.

That's the narrative on us after we scored what? 24 in the 4th to pull away in a blowout after never being behind.

If you want a more positive narrative, the mighty castrated cows are world beaters by scoring 21 in the 4th to squeak out a win after being way behind thru 3 qtrs.

Team was almost all transfers. And Indiana and those few schools with $$$ will be the new norm. At least A&M has deep pockets.

I am expecting to see improvement this week when we play Kentucky. I think Stein is a dynamic offensively and so there is absolutely no doubt it's gonna be a big test. They went out and basically got a brand new team in the portal with a lot of talent transferring to them in a total of about almost 50 guys so there is no doubt they definitely have an experience they picked up. I think you could see that at the start of the game with Bama, but Bama defense lockdown in Kentucky fall down the road and Bama ran away with it. I do feel like we are gonna have to show better on our defensive front and making reads and filling gaps that we did this past weekend. I also expect us to run some more wrinkles with some different exotics that we haven't shown yet totally trip up their offense and limit them on what they're able to be successful with.

They also made a huge upgrade on the defensive side, so our offense is gonna have to roll out some new wrinkles and we're gonna have to be a big step improved over what we are showing against the first two opponents when we faced this defense. It is no joke, they went out and got some really good players on the defensive side as well. I think Bateman have an idea of what Al wants to do gives him an advantage but I also think that Al is super highly intelligent and his knowledge of what BEMENT wants to do probably offset that so again this game as far as our offensive production goes, probably comes down to the old line and how well it can do against Bateman's defense.

I am looking forward to an interesting game. I think it might be a lot closer than what the betting odds are showing with the line being somewhere right around 14 points and I think we still pull it out in the end and win.

Until you put it under a microscope. Defense played lights out in the 4th

Clemson beating Georgia Southern 22-7....with 5 FGs. How can Clemson only score 1 TD against Georgia Southern? At halftime it was 16-7.

We'll learn a lot more about LSU this weekend. They blow out Ole Miss on the road...they are for real. But using Clemson as the used case is not it.
