I'd appreciate y'all's thoughts too. If you fast forward through one million commercials and our plodding offense taking the play clock down to 3 seconds you can rewatch it in 20 to 30 mins..
Negatives: My nature is to look for the silver lining and after watching the game live yesterday I thought the offense caught a rhythm in the second half. That was not the case, it was super mediocre from soup to nuts. Two glaring reasons: 1. constant missed assignments by the O-line (man I want to chaulk this up to "not-gelling" and hope we can coach these guys up). 2. Owens does not have good vision/ rarely makes the first guy miss.
Positives: This game reminded me of our games in the past against Alabama (from AZ's perspective), where it felt like we were hanging with them and had a chance but their defense was just too talented across the board. I think/hope that AZ St. is one of the better teams in the Big 12, they seemed like a well coached team to me but I've fallen for that in the past and time will tell. Either way our defense is deep and fast and I saw very few missed tackles. There were some dropped passes by AZ St that would have made the game closer though. Also, other than Reed's INT we played a very clean game.
What I would like to see:
1. O-line HAS to improve and I think they will.
2. Tight end usage to keep other team's Dline and LBs from crashing the line of scrimmage.
3. Craver is lightening with the ball in his hands. He needs way more touches.
