(B) Don't bother me with this today, we are going to look at film.

I agree. He's knows it wasn't good, but just not ready to comment.

The excuses need to stop about #10. Its his third year, he should be able to read an entire defense, make adjustments and run the offense on his own.

All off-season to get his foot work and release in order.

In terms of the run game, this team isnt the only team to bring a new OL.

Weaker offensive outcome than the opponent who lost by 28. Keep in mind we still won, but the portent for future, harder games isn't encouraging.

Plus it's on Elko for not actually getting another QB prepared "just in case." Maybe that's not possible, but all of our coaches have failed to recruit and retain their own winning QBs.

I saw a QB throw for 163 yds, 3 TD'a and have QBR of 45.5 for the game.

The team averaged 2.6 yards per rush. Marcel's performance, while shaky at times, was actually needed to win. The entire offense is stuck in mud and it starts with the OL play. We cannot get a ground game going. Elko will likely say that Marcel has to be better but the entire offense has to.

It's on Elko. We all know what Reed is. He chose not to replace him. Knowing aggie, rumors will start about Elko to the Cowboys and we'll extend him.

Admittedly I thought he was talking about Dave Elmendorf who when I was in school referred to as Elmo.
But quickly realized it was an auto correct.
I deal with that all the time as I'm sure others do as well.
You have to go back and check everything you said to make sure it is exactly what you intended to say.
BTW. I think that was an honest answer by Elko regarding Reed.
Look at the film first before passing judgment.
That was the correct honest answer to Olin's question.

in regards to the actual question, I guess we'll see after next week. If we show another plodding, pedestrian offense against Kentucky, I'm betting Elko will go full Elko and blow an aneurysm la the chair throw at ND last year. And it will be well deserved.

This. I admire his playing like a warrior and Elko's loyalty to him, but it appears his talent has peaked and the opposition knows his weakness.

Moreover, the team will not beat top tier opponents when playing well for only two of four quarters.

According to cfbstats.com, Reed is 8th out of 16 rated QBs, just behind Manning, and way ahead of Leavitt, who has thrown 4 INTs already.

We can't run because two out of three of our interior lineman can't block consistently.

Book is out on Marcel. Play zone and make him hit a window. He'll hit some, but not enough to beat you. He's a one read qb. We're afraid to run zone read because he'll obviously eventually get hurt. But reads at speed are a skill not a talent. He needs to run them so it's effective against a good defense. Otherwise going to be hard to score enough to win against better talent. Marcel would do much better in ASUs system.
