Michigan still had to complete a 50 yard bomb when everybody in the building knew exactly what was coming. It wasn't like the ball was spotted at the goal line. Also, wasn't it confirmed that NBC got it wrong and the replay crew got it right? Lastly, go check out what Notre Dame fans were saying about their loss to A&M last year..A blatant hold on a guy that had a clear path to the QB on the game wining play at their house. They were all saying how it was RIGGED. In actuality, it was just a missed call we got in our favor.

I'll sit back and chuckle at all of the "blue blood" getting calls conspiracy theories. The perma victim mindset! I'll add that there are a number of fan bases-Baylor, TCU, SMU, Tech, Arkansas, LSU(7 OT game), and apparently Notre Dame think WE are the program that always get protected by the refs.

If they don't discover this until the next day, what do you want them to do? Play the game over? How long are you willing to hold everyone at the stadium for someone to review every call in the game? It's a game. Humans make mistakes.

This one is easy. They don't have to replay anything. Just void the last play that was awarded in error.

Nope. Actually it was confirmed that the replay procedure said that if there was a difference between the official clock that only the replay guys could see and the game clock that everybody in the stadium could see, they were supposed to go by the clock that everybody could see. So they violated their written procedure by using the clock that nobody but them could see. This is the easiest overturn ever by the NCAA and they completely fumbled it. The last play was awarded in error, Mich scored on that play, so you throw out the last play and award the score as it was prior to that play as the final score. Simple and everybody would respect it (except Mich). Instead they chose the wrong option and nobody respects the decision…not that any of us have any respect for the NCAA anyways.

I don't really have a problem with this, I don't think there should ever be a case where the outcome of a game is overturned days later. Fans should leave the stadium knowing the outcome with full certainty, right or wrong

This is not new. It's been well known for generations that the most important factor in being a "blue blood" college football program, is having a conference officiating crew on staff.

The "blue blood" programs will win at least 1 extra game per year because of fans and alumni officiating their games.

I disagree. The highest priority should be getting it right. If you can reverse an error by the replay crew that was not a judgement call by the onfield officials, and that reversal changes the outcome of the game without requiring teams to come back and replay anything, you should do it. Even if it happens a day or two later. Getting it right should be the highest objective.

I am not talking about going back through plays with a fine toothed comb looking for things that were not caught by the officials. This was not that. This was a replay official who did not apply the league's rules for how timing discrepancies between the official clock and the stadium clock should be handled. Correcting that mistake changed the outcome of the game and could be corrected without requiring anybody to come back to the stadium and play.

Perfect fuel for leaving the ncaa and creating a new governing body with better rules that are actually enforced.

Sadly im not sure i trust the conferences to be any better at it.
