Anyone else reading and watching the broadcasts about our record? and everyone is predicting 8-4?

I don't see LSU being tough year 1, I Think the alabama game is a tough toss up, OU will be difficult and i never know with tu, were at home but HOW GOOD THEY REALLY ARE is yet to be determined. I think 9-3 or 10-2, not sure i see us going better than 10-2, and at this point the second i type this, we have two trap games we lose early.

I don't see enough high level talent to predict anything above 9-3. Were solid all over but not enough game wreckers.

Who is predicting 8-4? I haven't seen one prediction less than 9-3.

It's certainly in the cards with the schedule. Need to be on the right side of one score games.

Nobody knows anything right now. Just buckle up and take it week by week. We could be really good, or we could struggle. We could even be a better football team than we were last year, but have a worse record and miss the playoff.

We'll be picked to lose 3-4 games every year until we string a couple years of 10+ win seasons together and rightfully so. We haven't earned the national perception yet.

The season is close when some Ags already start getting depressed.

Part of the fun is thinking we're going for the natty only to go 8-4.

Just like last year. His only year to start the entire year.

Oh wait

Loss to Mizzou or South Carolina is not out of the question.
Loss to either LSU or Tennessee
Loss at Alabama
OU and t.u. losses

7-5 is a very real possibility.

That being said, we could also win 11. We won't know until we play the games.

As others have said, I'll plan on 7-5 and be happy when we win more.
40 years of Aggie football has turned me into a realist if not a pessimist.

Based on what I've seen, this is very optimistic.

I don't know how many superstars are on this team this year, but it does sound like we have really good depth at most positions. Everyone is going to experience injuries, and those 2nd and 3rd level dudes are very important, and it sounds like we have those this year. So I like our chances vs. anyone on the schedule.

It's hard to be optimistic when looking at our schedule, but everybody's schedule is going to be hard with 9 SEC games.

We have a championship roster and a great head coach. Marcel has been mostly good with some stinkers but, mostly good. If he takes a step forward, I really think the sky is the limit. Our schedule is rough and most of the teams we play also have championship level rosters and coaching staffs, so sometimes you lose. Either way, I think we have a good team and I'm looking forward to seeing how they perform.

When I look at the last 4 or 5 games of our schedule, it's easy to see where we could struggle. That said- at some point we have to just win the damn games regardless of who we are playing. Maybe even exceed our expectations....why not us?

"Not very optimistic about this season" … proceeds to predict what would be one of our top 5 seasons of the past nearly 3 decades.

If our running backs have success on the ground against Arizona State, I think we'll have a good season. If they don't, I think late in the season the windows for Reed will get a lot smaller and we'll struggle.

People fretting about our schedule need to remember:

- going into 2025 season we were playing:
@ #1 Texas
@ #6 ND
@ #9 LSU
#13 South Carolina
#15 Florida

Not a single one ended up ranked as high as they started.

We cannot expect all of the ranked teams on our schedule to backslide again but some will.
AT LEAST one of OU, Alabama, LSU isn't going to live up to their ranking.

Not to mention Tennessee and Missouri - if you feel our position is tenuous, imagine how their fans feel right now.

Its like every season is the first season for so many posters.

If we had scheduled IU for this season; we would have chalked it up as an easy win 3 or 4 years ago. With NIL and transfers; even harder than ever to really know who is legit.

Everything hinges on the O line.

Nobody, including the coaches, know how that's going to turn out.
