Yes, I realize this is the Aggie football board and the topic is related.

Just got home from Kyle Field. Had a great time and also feel like I just experienced one of the biggest rug pulls of my life. All the marketing materials to drive revenue and tickets sales had Messi on them.

The guy didn't even play, I watched little girls in Messi jerseys leaving Kyle Field in shambles crying.

The good news is the $300 we spent on 10 beers and 4 hot dogs may have helped buy us another linebacker or strong safety.

What a ****ing joke.

At least we all got to breathe the same oxygen as the GOAT. The second post below is absolutely pathetic.

Going forward, there has to be some sort of contractual obligation when you sell an entire event around a sole individual and not deliver.

The whole crowd was chanting "We want Messi". Argentina could have thrown the entire stadium a bone and at worse inserted him in the 90th minute.

Of course it was a cash grab. It was a soccer game between 2 third world countries that didn't even count for anything. And they charged everyone hundreds of dollars each to attend.

Yea, the jersey swap post is kind of in poor taste, I agree. I get that it's a sign of mutual respect, but Reed and Messi are in completely different stratospheres from eachother. Wtf is Messi gonna do with an A&M Reed jersey? Absolutely nothing.

Nobody on the planet is trying to equate Messi's status in soccer with Reed's in football. NO ONE. Jersey swaps happen all the time between HOF type players and JAGs.

Sounds like a bunch of little girls and the OP learned a lesson last night.

Even if Messi didn't play, it wasn't like you were watching Navasota High's JV team. Argentina is the defending World Cup champions and they have several amazing players on their team. Messi would have been a fun bonus but we all got to see an elite team that's projected to make a run in the world cup last night.
