For an out of stater, hard/impossible to find places to stay for top notch games at home. I've been trying to get to a night game for a while but don't really want to drive up and have to drive back (especially after a big win, for obvious reasons)

Went to the Notre Dame game last year and had to stay in Chicago due to South Bend being on the same boat.

Took the "Irish Express" from Chicago to South Bend. Chartered busses just for game days, drops you off well before the game and takes you back after the game. You can get a drinking ticket or non drinking ticket (drinking ticket was around $150-$200 non drinking around $100).

Probably really only viable for Houston but could probably take out a good percentage of traffic, grant out of staters cheaper hotel options, and maybe even pump up the numbers (not that we don't have enough lol).

I've looked into it being out of state and well out of college to not have buddies to stay with for top tier games in BCS but come up empty.

Does anyone have experience in traveling to BCS in a private or public transit, or are there even options.

The bullet train from Houston to DFW, with a stop in BCS, should be up and running soon.

Thanks for sharing. Flying to Dallas is usually easier for me.

For another option, The San Antonio A&M Club has a bus leaving 5 1/2 hours from THE Aggie Park before every home game.
