According to a statement released on his Twitter, Kamara is going to be canceling all of his OVs this summer to focus on his upcoming hs season. I think we still have a solid chance of landing him, but this does hurt our chances, as he was going to be a part of a stacked visit weekend with guys who are already committed.

If he was going to be apart from it, maybe better he's not coming.

He has only taken one OV so far (SMU). I don't think this impacts our chances with him at all unless we move on from him on our own. It is a weird move in the era on NIL, but we will see. It's hard to dislike what we have done with OL recruiting this cycle.

A nothing burger. He's cancelling all visits since its his senior year and captain and doesn't want to be absent during summer team workouts. I think it speaks highly of him and even more motivated to recruit his leadership.

I have been out of town and off the site for days and just saw this thread.

I honestly think he is still up in the air but as of today, I would say he ends up somewhere else. Don't get me wrong, I think if we think we can get him, no matter how many OL we already have committed, I don't see a way that we don't take him. I just think he is going to wait it out and go to one of his favorites that offers the most money and that probably won't be us by the time that comes around and the price tag for his services gets way over valued later in the cycle.

Nah, we're in early for him now, while the price tag is still high. He'll have a subpar senior year, meaning the market for him will start to narrow leaving us the front runner. We'll still pay the overinflated market value from his peak this summer, and then he'll never play for us and transfer to somewhere like Southern Miss and flame out. Peak Texags recruiting hype type of player.

I agree, I think he is trending elsewhere, and it seems like we've increased our efforts with Albert Simeon as a result. Would love to land Ismael though, that guy is a RARE level of athlete.
