Makes sense, #1 player in Texas and with horns current ranking and A&M likely to be #1 even without Meredith, it cleans up the optics for the horns and of course he's a great player.

Up to Elko what to do. Has the $ to match or counter or, save and go for the next best corner who is also a 5*

I went to the Sip campus in Austin yesterday to scooter. Several homeless people on campus, plus cross traffic nonstop. But the campus as a whole struck me as a sh*t hole. Can't believe they have ever tried to be negative about our campus. I'd take UNT's campus itself over Sips campus, and I mean that objectively. Lmao
You can barely tell you're even at a university. And we have more modern, nice new buildings on our campus than they do.

Or maybe he's not elite and is more easily replaceable than we imagine. Pretty standard for DBs from the state to not live up to their billing. Or can only hope so if he goes there, I guess. I thought Brooks and Muhammad would be amazing - nope. And with the portal, I care a bit less about anything beyond OL (and maybe LB) since those have proven to be the hardest to get elite guys out of for us. Of course you want as few holes to fill as possible.

I'm not sure the campus popularity polling matters. A&M's had a faint reek of Brutalism in the late 70s when I enrolled in 1979. The Kyle upgrades completing the third deck and adding the Zone and Reed rollout (replacing a strange, almost art deco Jollie Rollie) confirmed the trend with lots of concrete.

The overuse of bricks since then probably is to convince folks it is a true suburban college campus, but setting later building free from the four-floor limit screams urban. We can shake our fists at our prudence and thoughtfulness if we wish so, but we are who we are and the best example of Brutalism at the time I matriculated was the Architecture building where we minted new examples…

With that said: I have been on the Forty
Acres property exactly once touring with my child there to consider applying. We had been to UTD and the excitement was impressive. But not there.

On the other hand the visit to A&M went well and my child commented on the cityscape feel of the school in Austin. So you might be on to something…

I fail to understand how that deals with transferring from Euless Trinity to North Crowley

Without getting into details I was just saying that not landing this kid out of high school won't break my heart.

Sips did a poor job of developing Muhammad. He was a five star predicted to be a first round choice . Several of their blue chip five stars have not lived up to their hype. Sark is a good offensive coordinator but he's just an average head coach.
