Fair point on the H2H, but I think you're putting a little too much stock into two games. In my mind, hiring a great staff, elite scouting / recruitment and player development are "all that matter" to being a great HC bc if you do those things then the wins will come. It's also fine to let others take a victory lap after an awesome week for A&M sports.

BTW, probably a metric that matters much higher to recruits is trends toward reaching the NFL.

He didn't dump on the recruiting win. He correctly pointed out that we shouldn't be using the recruiting win as fodder to dump on Sark since we can't beat him on the field thus far. Sounds like you just didn't read anything he posted.

It takes these kinds of offseason wins in quantity in order to win in the fall. These are building blocks (no pun intended) for the future, not moral victories.

You are correct presently, however these recruiting wins will help bring victories on the field, and that is the point.

Another post that totally misses the point. Everyone agrees we should celebrate these recruiting victories. What we should NOT do is turn them into an Elko vs Sark comparison to try and make fun of Sark when he is currently undefeated against Elko on the field. That makes us look like idiots.

Elko made the play-offs last year. Sark did not.

The tu obsession is unhealthy for all of us. The season did not end how we wanted. No one around here will be happy unless we win a title. I get all of that and it is fair. But as far as team reaching some level of their pre-season objectives Elko's went further than Sark's with much lower expectations. We need to stop letting one game define our season.

This season we beat them, and make the play-offs and win the....

(and many on this board will still not be happy).

Celebrate the recruiting win. No reason not to. As I posted on another thread we have verbals or in the lead for 14 of the top 61 players in the 2027 class. That's not nothing.

After we play more games then he can be right if we continue losing?

I mean, we didn't continue losing. We went 11-1 last year. But sure, if we take this class which will likely finish #1 or #2 overall and we go 8-4 with them every year like we did with the 2022 class, then Hank can come back to this thread and claim victory

I just like the fact that in three weeks we will hopefully claim victory in all 3 sports over tu. We we ahead of them in football and basketball and currently have a 1 game lead in baseball with the tiebreaker. A clean sweep is how that great 11 year run started in the mid 80s when we won 10 of 11 in football over the poor t sips. My only question is when they start losing every year to both the Aggies and say ou, will they try to move back to the Dumpster Fire?
