Nobody outside of Baton Rouge wanted to see Kiffin at a program like LSU. He may be a ****** but the dude can coach and now he's got the backing and brand to recruit .

Leavitt had a great Freshman season, struggled a bit last season and is coming back from injury.

I'd rather have Marcel. Although, Leavitt does turnover the ball less.

Common opponent was Miss State. Leavitt was so bad that game that TexAgs wouldn't have let Marcel back on campus with a stat line similar.

I think you might have lost some credibility on this thread when you claimed LSU isn't getting either Leavitt or Longstreet and they just got both of them lol.

Marcel is a career 61.6% completion with 5,407 yards, 41 touchdowns, and 19 interceptions (653 career attempts)


Looks pretty similar to me, and the TD/INT ratio is probably the most important.

I've seen both Reed and Leavitt around a round 3 draft grade. That doesn't mean either would get selected there, but that's what each has put on tape.

Leavitt was the top QB in the portal so you're correct that Marcel would be in the conversation as the top QB in the portal if he had gone in because they are very similar. I just think because of turnovers Leavitt has the slight edge.

Except 1 plays all their games against G6 competition and the other goes up against NFL talent. But ya, other than that, they are the same player.
