...have any effect on your perspective? if ohio-st beats the dog out of them, i think it will help me realize our losing was inevitable but just a game earlier than it should have been. should miami pull the upset, it will probably amp up the regret over losing that game.

Beating Miami would have had an effect on my perspective.
I know a lot about a little, and a little about a lot.

Not for me. Different game under completely different conditions. We ****ed up. We had multiple chances to win a hard fought game in some wild weather conditions and we didn't. That's that.

Different matchup but I expect OSU by 20-24. Miami isn't that good qb play is better than Reed and their d isn't gonna allow a scrub back to go off.

I've removed this from my mind! No more wasted Saturdays, I'm going huntin' next fall!

I would have liked to beat Miami to get a chance to play Ohio state. Going forward if we want to play for a national title we need to understand how to build a team that will beat Ohio State and Georgia at the end of the season. And playing them is the best way to learn.

Had we squeaked one out against Miami, OSU would have gone in dry on us.

Moral victory! OSU beats Miami!

Only way my mind would shift is if Miami somehow wins in dominant and convincing fashion. Which I doubt will happen.

Ohio State - Indiana was a similar game to A&M - Miami. The losers had lots of things to kick themselves about. I do think OSU will win, but it won't be dominant. I still believe we had a roster to win it all, but we didn't execute in key moments.
94chem,
That, sir, was the greatest post in the history of TexAgs. I salute you. -- Dough

I'm expecting Ohio St to violate them. We absolutely sh*t the bed our last two games.

On the other hand, the team wasn't concerned so I'm not either. I really don't understand people who can't move on.

Ohio State's OL isn't very good. They won't protect well, and Sayin was mediocre against Indiana when his OL got challenged for once.

It's going to be another defensive slugfest.

We had a great season that gives us plenty to build off of. But, we were not ultimately that great of a team. So be it. Hopefully we continue to improve. That's my take regardless of what happens with Ohio State and Miami.

Nope; just like last year, once we lost Moss, our offense went to hell. Of course, multiple turnovers by Reed didn't help to overcome that, but Moss made Reed & our O-Line look better than they were.

REGARDLESS, it wasn't in the cards; the "proof" was the weather conditions. The Aggies' "Special Teams" play was absolutely abysmal all year long; accordingly, how could you interpret waking up to a strong 30 MPH wind on gameday as anything other than the 'Football Gods' telling us that we were SCREWED?!?!

Who knows, maybe next year more flukes will happen where we luck out & win games we should've lost; maybe our 'daunting preseason schedule' will prove to be a "cake walk"; AND, perhaps Reed actually performs late & any Heisman hype doesn't make him mental, while we find a dead-on accurate kicker who can hit 55 yard field goals with ease?!?!

IF all this happens, let's see if the 'Football Gods' once again F with us when it counts because at this point we've become a Greek Tragedy- actually every season since 2012!

Anyone who is a west Texas dirt monkey will tell you that 30mph wind is a light breeze. We looked at windy conditions as an advantage since it was a common occurrence and the coaches knew how to adapt. Klein and Elko never might the right adjustments which made Reed look even more inept.

Me too! I just came here perusing the zoo to see if anyone else has checked out. I haven't been on here since the loss. I'm also going to get my fall Saturdays back. Looking forward to it.

In fact, after Moss went down, Klein doubled down on what was not likely to work. Notice how Miami took the game mostly out of Beck's hands once they realized that the conditions weren't helping Beck get good results?
