Not sure if it matters anymore but it probably is verbotten.. Am I right that there are no rules that prohibit a player or a player's agent from contacting a prospective school?

The rules dont really matter, because enforcement is almost nonexistent nowadays. It's up to us to adapt.

Lord if it ever came out some booster group paid players on another team to throw a game, you would see college football regulated by every federal agency in DC, after Congress held 400 hearings.
