So on the punt we're KC got rocked should that have been a penalty?

From reading the rule it still sounds like even without a fair catch called he should have had a one yard zone to complete the catch.

Watching it looked like he got hit almost as soon as he was attempting to catch the ball. I am amazed he was able to hold onto it.

He should have called for a fair catch. I'm just curious of what is & isn't a penalty in that situation.

The rule is constantly changing because the goal is to avoid hits like that as they are high speed, high impact collisions to players not able to brace or protect themselves.

That being said, the general rule is you cannot make contact until the ball is touched. Is it likely the other player was within the 1 yard halo? Probably. But they weren't going to call that unless he was hit early, as you can cover a yard pretty fast when running full speed. Had KC even remotely put his hand up it also would have been called.

The targeting no call was significantly more egregious. Big 12 refs let the teams play. Penalties didn't lose us the game.

Defenseless player. Halo rule. It's all there in 4k.

Big 12 refs tried to rip us off.
They succeeded.
Sips have always I filtrated the referee community.
They won again. Their lack of ethics and integrity helped us lose.

The refs let them play to an extent unseen by either team.

If that was the case then a block in the back flag should have been thrown against us. It wasn't. So chuck that reason out the windiw.
