Pissed off all yesterday… Hate to lose a game where we didn't bring the A Game….

Woke up this morning…The sun was up… The temps were pretty darn good…
My wife and all my extended family are all incredibly healthy and happy…

My golf game, from tee to green, is still sound…

The world, and all the beauty in it, is still here…

And, almost NOBODY really gives 2 sh*ts who won yesterday…

I woke up and was still pissed.

Here's to hoping the women can show the men's team how to win when it counts today

You do not speak for the rest of us. I'm about as passionate as they come when it's Aggie football. It's gonna take a successful basketball season before I feel better.

This loss stings. It's a gut punch after a nutsack kick from the tu loss. We should've won both games easily.

We can't even buy a championship team like Tceh.
At least they have an OC who can legitimately run an offense.

The copium posts are always a good laugh after losses.
I'm not sure if I like them or the pregame "Had a dream last night and the Ags won by 45" posts more.

Oh I assure you, I ain't over ***** I want answers and we, us mother ****ers paying BIG MONEY to watch this three ring circus are entitled to those answers.

I want to know:

Why in the **** was Klein allowed to stay and finish out?

Why was Moss started when it was clear to everyone he wasn't 100%? He wasn't even 75%.

Why does it appear these kids are never ready to play when the game starts?

Why do we continue to have "mindless" offensive penalties in crucial spots?

Why does a program the size and wealth of ours, not have a punter or a kicker??

It's just football. It's really not that big of a deal.

Disappointing, sure. Hopefully Elko is the guy and works on plugging the holes in the offseason.

This win will take the rest of the post season to get over. Because no matter what, it will be brought up... even in the Natty halftime show.

LOL... you paying over priced tickets to this sht show isn't anybody's fault but your own. You are entitled to overpriced beer and nachos on gameday and that's about it.

I am feeling great today. The only thing that bugs me is getting stuck with Miami vs. JMU or Tulsa... Might as well give the 5 and 6 seeds a bye like the other top 4 if this is the competition they are gonna play in round 1. It makes zero sense.

Would not have been an issue if we just beat tu!!!!

Here's why I'm not all that PO'd any longer…

We haven't sniffed anything close to any kind of conference championship or natty contention since Michael Bishop fumbled and the DB covering Sirr Parker fell down…

We are who our record says we are… We're the team that beat ND, wasted LSU, beat Mizzou pretty soundly (all on the road)…

We're also the team that BARELY beat Auburn and USCe (both at home) and got a second-half butt whipping from tu and only scored 3 points at home against Miami…

That's who we are… tOSU would have CURB STOMPED us in the Cotton Bowl…

That's who this team is… A really good team that got a chance to play on the biggest stage, and found out exactly who we are…

11-2… 4th place in the SEC… Nothing better, nothing worse…

We are getting really good at flying through the stages of grief. Lightning quick I tell ya!

Haven't sniffed? We were one game away two years in a row. And this year was because of tiebreak rules. The conference championship was not settled on the field. Would we have won it? Probably not. But to say we haven't sniffed when both of Elko's years have been on the doorstep is just pure emotional nonsense.

We made it to the playoff. Something you didn't think we could do. If we go 8-4 next year, by all means.. potbang away. But the trajectory is up with a coach recruiting well and who does very very well in the portal.

I'm with ya.

I went to bed Saturday night ticked off, but I woke up just fine Sunday morning. Couldn't talk due to all the yelling I did Saturday, but that was it. When I think about the game, I am focusing more on the personal positive that I got out of the day by getting to spend all that time with my son. He lives on the other side of the State from his mom and I, so we don't get to spend as much time with him these days. Yeah, the loss sucked, but I'm not letting that dampen my experience for the day.

And behold, a game that will live in infamy. A game that will be talked about forever in Aggie lore, where we were shut out of the endzone on Kyle field in our one and only playoff game. Line up all those responsible and drop kick them on their way out.

I travelled from Omaha back home to Texas for week. Weather was fantastic compared to Midwest winter.

Got to see my Mom and Dad at Christmas time for 4 days which meant the world to them and me.

Drove to College Station (a town that I have many great memories of) for the remaining 3 days.

Spent the weekend with Aggie wife of 31 years in the place where it all started.

Renewed old friendships over beer and pizza.

Ate some good mexican food I can't get in Nebraska (Texas always comes through for me on this one)

Watched my alma mater in a defensive thriller but we came up 5 yards short. I can't explain it but I'll never have to because I'm a fan and not a coach or player. They will feel this long after I have moved on.

24 hours later, I got to watch Lady Ag Volley Ball win a dominating national championship title. Gig'em. All my Nebraska friends and family were texting me and calling me within moments of the win. They were envious of us. Big win on a big stage whether you realize it or not.

Sun is up here in Omaha. Christmas is right around the corner. Mom and Dad made it one more Christmas.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year folks.


NOTE: 30 years of following the Aggies has taught me a million ways to deal with frustration and disappointment but I am still lucky to be and Aggie. And when we finally win it all, it will be that much sweeter.

I was so very thankful that my dad made it for that last Christmas in 2017 before he passed a couple of months later.

I used to be very passionate about football. A loss would ruin a day or two. This season I prioritized bow hunting and family time.

This year; the sport would have been fine crowning the year's best team off of an MNC between Georgia and Indiana.

Our team had a very good season, but was very unlikely to get past the second round of this tournament. "We got in" feels like a participation trophy. I'd rather they shrink the tourney down to 6 and focus on legitimate contenders - relegating the rest to the quirky meaninglessness that is a celebration of the season (aka a bowl game).
