We once run it so much that the 4th you were worn down

We threw downfield good or bad but the threat was there.

Marcel was proving himself

We played Salty

Later in the season all of that stopped. Same Aggie story. 1st half/2nd half

Good point. We went completely conservative the last 2 games and sucked. The 1 time we threw deep against Texas, we drew a PI. Never tried again. The one deep ball we threw against Miami, we caught it for a huge gain. We never tried again.

It was previewed many times during the season. Not one single 4-quarter performance. Lots of great plays scattered throughout that made it exciting to watch and set the stage for more. But 4 quarters is the standard for championship football, not one or two.

Elko talks a big game about process & grit & blah blah blah, but the reality is we're still a disorganized mess

Oline can't block & the defense can't stop the run... We suck at basic fundamentals of football

Everyone got new contracts though & we're promoting from within so we can expect more of the same

We played teams that could stop our run their front 4.

There's no magic.

USCe was a **** game.

tu and Miami both handled our ground game without needing to shift their whole defense to focus on it and our OL couldn't pass block and our QB couldn't process well enough to throw.

What we basically know now (and will, unfortunately have to deal with next year), is that Reed cannot throw against a team that is able to sit back and defend against the pass without blitzing.

I don't think there was some monumental shift in what we were trying to do, just teams realizing (and having the athletes) to force us to play a game we weren't able to play.

No, we're realistic....

We couldn't block 4 man fronts w a group full of upperclassmen

The same upperclassmen who had how many false starts at a home game yesterday?

So now we move forward having to rebuild the oline w a first time OC

What's your optimism look like for next season?
