Moss is the only back that can break a tackle. Morrow looks fast but small. We need a big bruiser for 1st and goal at the 5. Add that to the list of portal needs.
This is actually a good point. The drop off after moss has been way too steep.
Our oline got abused after the left tackle ran his mouth & didn't back it up
Turns out there weren't any stallions in that stable, just a bunch of nags.

Why did Klein ever distribute reps the way he did?
RB plays never made any sense for our team the whole year. You'd think guys went in and out of being suspended then being the favorite then receiving only a couple touches. When you'd expect to see a 3rd down back, you'd get the opposite. Why? Who knows. It never worked and confused a defense

Maybe they're not as good as TexAgs believes?

The stable was based on having Moss and Owens fully healthy. With moss out and Owens clearly playing through injury, your best back is EJ smith who is a quality role player but not a feature back. Tldr this would have been a great stable if they could stay healthy.

Klien sucks. You have to mix in the run. Even if you get 3 yards. You can't make your offense one dimensional.
I didn't like the Klein hire from day 1, and was criticized. I remember what really turned me off was a particular goal line series at the end of a Texas game in Austin where they coukd've won the game. ironic.

The lack of development of owens is really disappointing. He's just not good enough to be a feature back and doesn't have a specific skill for him to be a "change of pace" guy.

Most folks here knew the deal. This team was an 8-4 special in a normal year. Thank God for the cupcake schedule. Kinda felt like the SWC days where we pretended to be badass all year then lose 28-3 in a bowl game
The problem with our offense this year is… when we got figured out we changed nothing. Yesterday we were predicable.
Our o line is paper. Our whole offense is built on a shaky o line that can't generate push in the run and can't hold off more than 3 pass rushers. When we can't run the ball, it's all on reeds shoulders, which proved to small.

Our running back usage all season was insane. Hard to establish rhythm when you get subbed willy nilly.

i didnt see morrow play any snaps which is a surprise. his quickness and speed to the hole may have helped in those circumstances where we were not getting much push.

Miami put 8 in the box on a lot of plays. Klein responded by having Marcel pass to neutralize the heavy boxes. Would've been a fine strategy if our QB was accurate, but yesterday he wasn't.
Therefore we never got Miami to back off, we became one-dimensional, and we only gave 18 total carries to RBs.

The inability to make some easy throws ended up giving them the ability to scheme heavy to the run.
Complementary balanced offense is critical, and we didn't have it, and when we get forced to be a passing team (with Reed at QB) we're gonna struggle.
