Anyone heard anything? A quick google search didn't show anything, but it would be great to see! Thanks and gig 'em!

Someone just posted on Instagram the back of what looked like an F 18, but because I'm not on Instagram, I can't open it! Ha!

My theory on flyovers: the more menacing the flyover, the greater the chances of an Aggie Win!

2021 41-38 W over Bama: Pairs of F-35's and F-18's.
2022 L to Florida: Cessna weather reconnaissance aircraft.

This actually seems like a valid hypothesis. Someone get some nuke carrying B2's over Kyle Saturday morning.

Since our last national championship was in 1939, how about some WWII vintage aircraft

Always thought these were badass, the Lockheed P-38 Lightning. First flight, January 1939:

A pair of B-1s with afterburners on at 1000ft is the correct answer.

The P-38 in the foreground has a great history. This one is now called "Glacier Girl" in reference to a forced landing in Greenland during the war (ran out of gas, perhaps, or was escorting a bomber that had run into trouble, I forget the actual story there). In the late 80s/early 90s, this aircraft was found many feet beneath a glacier, entombed in the ice and in pieces, and was brought to the surface. She spent many years being restored, and became flight worthy in the latter half of the early 2000s (maybe 2007 or so).

While I love WWII warbirds, they are not nearly as exciting in a Kyle Field flyover as F-15s/F-18s/F-35s

Add this bird in the Vintage formation. Not the prettiest, but a beast. I used to fly out of Majors field. It was a P47 training base during WWII and Ive always loved this aircraft.

2000 OU Flyover during the day

Bad ass. If you were there, you remember. I was holding my three-year-old daughter's ears!

Loud is the multiplier on the bad ass scale of flyovers!

From not being hooked into Instagram, that was my back up assessment.

Thank you for confirming! Just happy the government is back up and running, and we get the flyover instead of awkward silence in between the National Anthem and Texas, our Texas!

They should get a zeppelin and start an hour before kickoff. Set the record for longest flyover. While blasting Led Zeppelin.

I can assure you this they are NOT quiet when the GAU gun is going off. Was working a mission from an OH-58 helicopter with them and they fired just as they got directly over me. I was snugged up against a cliff and I was sure from the noise that I had stuck the tail rotor in the cliff, until it hit me that weren't spinning into the ground as a result.

If their crew could have seen my copilot and me ducking our heads by instinct, I'm sure they'd be laughing still.

Not Kyle Field, but a B-52 from Barksdale did the flyover in the Indy Bowl against UGA in 2009.
