130+ D1 institutions? Nah. I'm guessing $300,000,000 will change hands at a bare minimum. Some of these major programs are going to spend $20 million by themselves.

Not all 130 have the ability to right blank checks, only a handful do, if you are talking about all NIL than I would agree close to $300m

LSU doesn't have the money to buy out Kelly, paid Kiffin a ton, and they're fixing to buy a QB after they pulled up the Brinks truck to keep the one they had this season. They may have to have a bond election to fund their program at the rate they're going. I can't wait for everything to implode over there.

I'm only talking about the portal. There are 20 schools that could gather up $20 million to spend in the portal every year and probably 30 more that could gather that up in a given year even if not every year, and there's another 80+ institutions left after that. Portal alone will easily be $300 million in money changing hands this year.

Elko doesn't strike me as the kinda guy to chase the big fish in the portal. He seems like more of a value shopper type and its already documented that he doesn't wanna shake up the locker room culture by paying new guys insane money to join teammates that may not be making near as much. I know KC was probably our big splurge buy last year but even he was quoted earlier this summer saying the money was similar to what other programs were offering.

If history is telling us anything though, its that you cannot go into a season with a rebuilding or inexperienced OL. Its a death sentence and nothing kills playoff hopes faster than an OL that is a "work in progress ". Imo against that gauntlet of a schedule next year we are going to need

Elite- OL, OL, DT, DE, and LB (we need to be honest w ourselves that T York isn't winning us championships).

SEC Starter Level- OL, CB

Guys who can possibly come in and compete to start: WR, CB, S, DT
