QB and behind LOS. So if he is chasing QB and QB drops ball and falls on it, no sack either?? I think this is a sack right? Seems pretty arbitrary.

I'm sorry you don't know the rule. It's not arbitrary. In the NFL, a quarterback sack is recorded when the quarterback (or another offensive player acting as the passer) is tackled or brought down behind the line of scrimmage while attempting to pass the ball. It's the last part of the rule you're ignoring.

In the NFL, that's an aborted play so the quarterback is now considered a runner if he doesn't grab the ball and complete the drop back
