Arch's odds probably depend heavily on where he transfers to.

Lord help us if it's LSU
Him going to LSU would be funny since he still sucks, but he'll stay with Sips and keep them out of the playoffs until 2028 at the earliest.

Sadly tu will likely get their OLine problem fixed and Arch will have very good numbers next year

Obviously he was not good enough at the Shoe or the Swamp or between the hedges but was 9-3 in his first year as a starter

Possible tu vs A&M is for a trip to Atlanta and a Heisman

He had his struggles at the beginning of the year, but he and his team managed to stomp all over A&M (again) at the end of the year. He looked a lot better than Reed did the last 5 games the season. Reed is certainly our best QB since Johnny, and I am really glad that he gives us a good chance to win every game. But let's face it, we would all be thrilled if Manning were wearing Maroon and White.

Against us he completed less than 50% of his passes and threw for less than 180 yards. Almost overthrew a wide open receiver in the end zone. He did break off a couple touchdown runs, but we were giving up rushing yards to everyone. He definitely got better as the season went on but nothing that really suggested Heisman favorite.

Arch will continue getting better and their OL will be better next year. This was their rebuilding year for that unit. Arch will be good next year and Texas will contend for a playoff spot.

a poster hit on this already...but I think its being overlooked.

the texas OL....struggled early...got better as season went on. Now, they only bring back 2 of their starters in their game against us. And that's assuming their SR guys don't have eligibility left.

Their RB got better too. WR was Wingo and the TE. So not sure if those areas will improve or not.

I won't be shocked if Manning is a legitimate candidate before it's over. He made a lot of progress this year and he's going to have a lot of coaching in the offseason.

This is exactly why every Longhorn fan keeps saying they got snubbed from the playoffs… Arch improved so much down the stretch that the committee and every other team was straight-up terrified to face Texas in a playoff game..…
I don’t start threads, I end them…

Manning has improved but he is still not a better QB than 20 others out there. He's 28th in passing yards and 19 in passing touchdowns. He has certainly improved but so will other QBs. Yep, he'll train in the off season, but so will other QBs.

We shouldnt crown someone as a generational talent just because they are good at what they do. He won't be the GOAT. He'll deserve accolades for what he does accomplish but crowning him as the top Heisman candidate is a bit premature.

This is valid but Arch still needs to take major leaps forward unless Sark starts using him more as a Tebow lead offense. Which would certainly be a waste and hurt his draft stock as a passer.

He passed very poorly in most games including against A&M. Never had once looked comfortable against pressure.

He should be on the watch list if these idiots were smart but instead they will anoint the kid as the #1....again.

I ain't scared. I think Arch is a NFL bust and becomes a Netflix documentary in 10 years. He will probably be a rich CEO at that point running the family businesses.

Very hard to unteach a natural tendency towards fear and having difficulty processing information quickly in game. Sure Arch looks magical in a practice and vacuum scenarios but kid has been a head case for Texas. Really hard to unteach the psychological side. He has always played in a bully situation in his youth and never played up to his competition. The Mannings failed him by never taking off the gloves.

He definitely improved, but giving him better odds than Sayin is absurd

Sayin has a noodle arm and was nothing short of bad against the only 2 decent opponents he played. He shouldn't be anywhere near any list.
