Our receivers haven't really developed? Craver and KC have been carrying us but our homegrown guys haven't really done much. ABR has come on strong in the back half of the season but that's about it.

I strongly disagree
The only one that appears to be struggling to develop is bussey
The other wideouts in depth roles have all stepped up when their number was called
All the tight ends have progressed well too
They all also block downfield well which rare with talented wideouts
I think the development has been first rate in this program
Jimbo wr development was absolute dog**** though
May want to go look at every single NFL team and every other grade A NCAA team. They will mostly ALL look exactly the same.TheDecadeSapling said:
We have three guys with 20 or more receptions and only three guys with 200 yards or more receiving. I guess I just expected a little more
Yeah I feel like the opposite of OP. This is the best development I've seen from our WR's in ages. A lot of promise in the WR room.ironmanag said:
Does it feel like the OP doesn't actually watch our games?

Only so many passes to go around and for the last month our QB has been a bit of a disaster.

The gaslighting is ridiculous here.
How was Marcel a disaster against LSU and Missouri? SC had some mistakes and then he was absolutely elite in the second half with a performance Mendoza could only dream of. Texas he was fine and hitting some incredibly tight windows. Only turned bad when trying to press the pedal at the end within a scheme that was never set up for success in that game.
GTFO.

I'm more optimistic about our receiver play since... ever. So I don't see it that way at all.

I think our biggest issue is that our offensive line is fools gold. Can't run block, and are just OK in pass protection.

You do realize that once a play is called, it's up to Marcel to make decisions on the execution?
RPO's, whether to R vs P
3rd and 2's, whether to chunk it deep vs hit the wide open shallow route
Laser into triple coverage vs taking what the D's give you.
Marcel can play really well at times.
Marcel can also play like sh*t at times. And you can't just blame those sh*t times on Klein and scheme
Our success on offense (or lack thereof) relies heavily on Marcel's decision making while the lights are bright and bullets are flying

Marcel was bad enough passing vs LSU that we basically ran the ball the entire 2nd half. He really has been bad for the last month vs SEC teams minus 2nd half vs SC. And he was awful vs Sips. He was not "fine". You're the same type who said Reed was "fine" vs Sips last year. You're loony tunes.Heineken-Ashi said:amercer said:
