That's the best A&M football team I've ever seen.

We were so close and yet so far from the natty. Too bad there wasn't a playoff back then.

He was absolutely the most exciting player I have ever seen play. I could not wait for Saturdays that year.

Of all the great games - the upset of Bama, the Hurricane game, the Duke bowl game - that Cotton Bowl where he just went stupid on OU - probably helps I was in the end zone and got to watch all those plays develop.

That kid was a freaking mongoose. His special awareness was deity level.

I have never seen anyone with the ability to be one inch out of reach of every defender on the field so consistently. Pair that with his arm, his poise under pressure, and an offense that was specifically designed to take advantage of those unique combination of qualities, and you have a freaking amazing CFB season.

This is a key point that very few people talk about. Yeah, he had big stats and made big playground plays, but he also had this magic. I remember one play (forget who we were even playing), where the DE looped around behind him and reached for his shoulder pad from behind. Somehow JFF "sensed" this and just dipped his shoulder slightly enough to make him miss without taking his eyes from down field and makes a play. Most (if not all human QB's) wouldn't have sensed a threat from behind. But if they did, they would have ducked way more, lost down-field vision and probably just scrambled around at that point.

Hands down the most exciting football player I ever watched, and that's including NFL.

I attended the game vs. SMU in Dallas in 2012... game after Florida.

If memory serves... the 1st quarter or so was not productive for the Ags/Manziel.

But by the end, Manziel had 400+ yds passing w/ 4 passing TDs and 2 rushing TDs

I thought to myself... "What the hell just happened... did I just witness that?"
