Tech is definitely legit this year; great coaching and talent. No question.

The problem with Tech, OkSt, KSt, Utah, etc. including some teams in the SEC/BIG like Vanderbilt, Kentucky, Northwestern, Rutgers, ..... is they simply don't have the fanbase for large TV viewership and filling massive stadiums.

Just look at viewership of Michigan-Ohio State, A&M-tu, Bama-Auburn, Clemson-SC, Florida-FSU, NotreDame-USC, ..... Those are rivalries but even if the teams play each other like A&M-ND or Ohio State-tu; still massive viewership.

That's what fans like to watch; regionally and nationally. As good as Tech is this year, a Tech game against any of the above during the regular season wouldn't have the viewership as those teams playing each other. I mean no disrespect to Tech, it's just math and the sport ultimately has to cater to the fans (although at the moment they are catering to coaches and NIL in the absence of organized rules); in the end, the fans matter.

Y'all are gonna have giant coronary, when / if if Tech wins a game or two in the Playoffs. They are pretty good on both sides of the ball. Nowadays, players just want to get paid and have a chance to get into the NFL. They do not care about anything else.

Well they got an exceptionally favorable draw. No one even knows how good Oregon is either because they haven't really beat anyone good yet.

And IU is very good but the 2 best teams are OSU & Georgia IMO. OSU won't lose to IU a 2nd time.
