After the ACC saved their butt in 2020. But this year, the better argument was for actual conference member, Miami. So they made that argument.

I don't really get this sentiment. They knew they needed to win against Tech to get in but instead got blown out a 2nd time. They really had no shot to win the natty.

But they did have a solid season.

Most of those guys aren't gonna be playing on Sundays.

I'm sure they felt like they had at least 1 more game, one way or another.
Now they've already played it, thanks to this bowl game boycott nonsense.

Kinda feel bad for those guys.

Not sure if already mentioned in this thread, but supposedly the guys going pro said they would opt out, and the captains told Freeman that the rest of the guys didn't want to play without them.

And I'm sure some are testing the portal too.
