So even if I can sell the at 2-3x what I paid for them, tack on another $20k in donation and you don't recover what you pay

My best friend and I have been using the Gig' Em Pass, and we went to the Auburn, Mississippi State, and South Carolina games. He received an invitation to participate in an exclusive presale for CFP first round tickets, but I won't be able to join him because I will be spending time with my family in California from 12/18-12/26.

Not sure why OP is complaining. I guarantee the stadium will be full and it won't be because there is a huge Miami contingent. Anyway, thanks to one of those people selling their tickets, my wife and son will be there yelling for the Ags.

Reselling Aggie tickets may not be very lucrative, but there are certainly a lot of people trying to make it work for them. This is the west side, but the north and south endzones are the same. Lots and lots of entire rows of a section up for sale. We're talking up to 24 contiguous seats for sale. We clearly do have a large mix of scalpers in our season ticket base.

Where you see an entire row listed, it is apparently because the seller didn't list the seat number (usually means its in the middle of the section, and they don't want to disclose that).

I've got a friend who has tickets in the section over from me who can't make it (and this guy never misses a home game) because of prior family Christmas plans. I think he was going to claim his seats and find someone local to use them, which is what I would do if I couldn't go. You don't get anything credit for releasing them to the TMF, so you can either sell them and make some profit, or give them to someone you know and at least build some goodwill that way.

A guy I know buys up a sheet-ton of season tickets every year (at major schools) and makes his living on re-selling them. That's all he does! Been doing it for years, but is getting a little more cautious now as more scrutiny in on the re-sell market!

If you look at the ticket exchange 25 WTS... 3 WTB...

I expect prices to drop drastically next Thursday. I also expect ticket pull for students to be down 5 to to 10K, as kids are not in school. Those tickets will be dumped on the market as well.

The game is the day after the last day of finals, the students will be there.

Next Tuesday is the last day of finals, and graduation is Wednesday and Thursday. None of the dorms are closing until 6 p.m. on the 20th though, and students can also request an extension of that for the playoff game.

It's been a long time for me to remember, but it seems like there were always people who stayed in dorms over holidays and breaks. Especially people who had jobs in town.

But I was in a balcony dorm with direct access to my room when I had a job off campus.

Lots of people are upset that they fell for the priority points racket years ago and continue to chase bad money with good, and wonder why everyone else won't be "good ags" like them. They'd best be careful, or they'll run out of money before they get to move into senior purgatory (a.k.a. Traditions).

Wow, talk about reeking of bitterness. I bought football season tickets 30 years ago. I've enjoyed going to the games, getting to know some of my neighbors, and now, getting to buy playoff tickets at face, all with a fairly modest outlay (west 3rd deck tickets all that time). Sorry that you missed out.

I currently have a grad student. So, I'll raise you.

I had season tickets for many years. Sat next to Ed Hargett's FIL. Finally realized it made more sense just to buy tickets on the secondary market. Bowl game tickets were always better than TMF. Drove straight through to Omaha for the TN series last year. Just a lot less expensive, but more than that, no more feelings of obligation about being at games, selling unused tickets, being jerked around on seating assignments, losing priority because somebody more redass came along...

And I could be wrong, but I bet there will be plenty of reasonable seats available. Lots of students used to skip the t.u. game on T-Day because of family stuff. College Station on 12/20 may be the same. Will be interesting to see what happens.

But apparently since I only donate through my season baseball tickets, I don't have access to the sale until the general public does tomorrow. A coworker that doesn't have season tickets to any sport, but is a 12th man donor, has access to today's sale even though he has fewer priority pints than I do.
