Fair, but either the entire season matters or it doesn't. If it does, Bama must be held accountable for losing to a less than mediocre FSU team and (result pending), a third loss. It can't be both ways.

But this committee is a steaming pile of ***** They say they won't punish teams that are "in" if they lose a CCG but they also said they would reward SOR this year and yet we are the lowest rated 1-loss team even though we have the highest SOR.

Bama with that cover zero gimmick on 3rd and 6 then backs out 4 guys at the snap. Those guys were backpedaling so fast, all you have to do is have your TE turn around take the dump off, and scamper for the first down.

I'm not even blocking there. Send one guy straight down the seam in case they're coming, and one guy stays at the LOS.

There's only 1 year of precedence to defend this statement.

#2 Texas dropped to #3 with a 22-19 loss to Georgia (#5 to #2) - getting the 5 seed do to Conference Champions guaranteed 1st round byes which does not exist this year.

#3 Penn State dropped to #4 with a 45-37 loss to Oregon (#1) - getting the 6 seed.

#8 SMU dropped to #10 with with a 34-31 loss to Clemson (#17 to #16) - getting the 11 seed.

Hell, #16 Iowa State only dropped to #18 after getting blown-out 45-19 by Arizona State (#15 to #12 - getting the 4 seed).

They had an incredibly difficult non conf schedule. Sam Houston said it was tough to beat Oregon St.

I think tech is a top 15 team playing in a week conference

Imo it's Ohio State and about 14 teams that are all pretty close to each other

Have to look at their OOC and their Opp's OOC -- ALL of which is pretty weak.

Bolded = Loss

Tech: Arkansas-Pine Bluff (FCS), Kent State (5-7), Oregon State (2-10)
BYU: Portland State, Standford, @ East Carolina
Utah: @ UCLA (3-9), Cal Poly (FCS), @ Wyoming (4-8)
Houston: SF Austin (FCS), @ Rice (5-7), @ Oregon State (2-10)
Arizona State: N. Arizona (FCS), @ Mississippi (5-7), Texas State (6-6)

Tech did not play 9-3 Arizona, 8-4 TCU, 8-4 Iowa State, and 7-5 Cincinnati.
