The ONLY shot Texas has is the committee decides Lane Kiffin leaving is worth dropping out of playoffs completely AND the committee says Miami and Vanderbilt deserve to be jumped. I don't think either of those 2 can happen

Peewee was already on Finebaum and Cowherd today. I'm sure busy again all over tomorrow campaigning trying to get the world to forgot they got curb stomped by Georgia just 16 days ago and embarrassed by Florida…
The natl media just eats it up too…
I'm sure Snakey is out whoring himself for CDC also all over the place behind the scenes

Sark is an annoying whinny sip but I do not get why people think he should be taking his ball and going home. It just does not work that way. Also, he does believe Texas has an advantage because they are Texas. And... they probably do. Ultimately, that is why everones panties are in a wad.
You just answered your own question.
He's annoying and whining and he's using Texas' advantage to circumvent the system because his team didn't perform on the field.
There's nothing wrong with saying you believe you are one of the top 12 teams. As you said, every coach in his position would do that. But the way he is going about it is detrimental to the sport. He is literally trying to blackball the networks into strong-arming the committee to knock a more deserving school out of the playoff.

Watched Cowherd yesterday and they had Sark not only on the show, but he literally had Sark and tu on the screen for 3 hours. Absolutely a joke.
TIRED: If the Playoff committee isn’t going to reward playing a tough schedule, Texas should cancel their non-conference matchups.

WIRED: If the Playoff committee isn’t going to reward playing a tough schedule, Texas should move back to the Big 12.

For those bashing Sark for campaigning to get into the playoffs you're idiots. What exactly do you expect him to do? Just sit back and stay quiet? It's literally his job to defend them. And if the roles were reversed, Elko would be doing the exact same thing. You know it… you just won't admit it.
Yeah, the Florida game was a slip-up no doubt. And it'll probably cost them a playoff berth. But acting like close games are some unique flaw is ridiculous. Every team has them. Just look at the South Carolina and Arkansas games.
And here's what bothers me the most: what's the point of playing tough out-of-conference games early in the season like Ohio State or Notre Dame if the committee doesn't factor them in? If those don't matter, then the first three weeks might as well be the college version of NFL preseason

They are a bubble team. He is not trying to circumvent anything. Unless your position is they are not a bubble team, you can't expect him/them not to lobby for the spot.
Take the "they shoud'nt be this or that" out of your thought process. They ARE at #14. They beat #13 in a head to head. They have wins over #3, #6, and #9. Yest they have bad beats. That is why they are a bubble team.

They thought they were too good to play the B12 middle tier teams , they wanted better competition. Now they are crying about how the Florida loss shouldn't count against them? Typical

Texas does not suck, they have 4/5 star talent up and down the roster. Arch does not suck. They can beat anyone in the country (same can be said for the Ags).
All that said... they lost 3 games and should not be in the CFP. We had a chance to crush the cock roaches but pooped the bed. So, just gonna have to deal with the Sark circus. He is doing exactly what you would expect your HC to do given the circumstances.

As I said, I get that part. But just answer this one question: if the South Carolina game was a loss, would you want Elko campaigning for a playoff spot? Because A&M would be a bubble team with a tough case to make there are several two-loss teams in the mix.
Don't you think he owes that respect to his players? And to the fans?
At the end of the day, I don't think Texas is making the playoffs either. But bashing Sark for campaigning for a playoff position is ridiculous. That's literally his job

Due to tie ins they aren't a bubble team at 14. They need to be at 10 to get in.

14 in the AP and coaches poll. That is precisely why they are lobbying. To move up. They are in the discussion regardless of what you or I think. Just turn on any sports media platform. They are a bubble team.

They aren't a bubble team except for a few talking heads. ESPN has them at 2%. That's not a bubble team.
