This was posted on premium via a Reddit page with a GoFund me account. It was very strange - most of us thought it was a scam.

Less than 24 hrs after she was missing a fund was set up to collect money.

Also, even the news reports are incongruent. She was found at an apartment complex, but later it is saying she fell 17 floors.

"I asked and demanded that another detective be assigned to the case, and they said no. They even told me their geometric system was broken. That they were eyeballing the distance where my daughter fell, which is the 17th floor, down to her death," Rodriguez said.

The article said it takes over a month to get toxicology reports back which seems weirdly long.

Falling or something-laced is the only thing I can imagine that kills someone fast that isn't homicide.

Or…. Families after the tragic death of a loved one are rightfully hysterical, not thinking logically, and looking for someone to blame. (Anger is the second phase of the grief process, after all). So maybe, just maybe, APD is doing their damn job just fine.

I can't blame a grieving mother for thinking the worst. And I don't trust APD at all to manage this case properly. The last thing they want to do is deal with a murder/manslaughter investigation and I'm sure they'll default to suicide/accident if plausible. The mom probably needs to hire an attorney to hound APD, sadly.

Being dosed with Rohypnol, the drug commonly referred to as the "date rape" drug. Girls get "roofied" when some scumbag slips it in their drink without them knowing it. Sadly, its a fairly common occurrence, especially on college campuses and bars frequented by college students.

It's the call that none of us with children --- adult or otherwise --- ever wants to receive. Parents are supposed to go first. I pray for my adult kids every day.
