Terrible and more upsetting is no understanding of what happened. Did they do a toxicology screening? There's no explanation on cause of death which is really weird.
MySA followed up with APD for further confirmation regarding the investigation process underway. A department spokesperson said both a victims services counselor and a detective have been assigned to the case, adding specifics regarding the cause of death can take several months to complete.
"At this time, there is no evidence of any suspicious circumstances, and this case is not being investigated as a homicide," the spokesperson said. "The medical examiner will handle anything involving autopsy or toxicology, and this process can take months for results to come back. The ME will determine the ultimate cause and manner of death."
It might take several months before the toxicology results are revealed.
