If I was on the committee, tell me why the Aggies won't be seeded 6th in the CFP.

Originally Texas A&M will be ranked as the lowest 1-loss teams (#7) because of recency bias - loss to Texas and poor showing against South Carolina.

However, Kiffin leaving Ole Miss will move them back to the lowest 1-loss team.

I see no reason to rank a 2-loss OU or 2-loss Notre Dame above a 1-loss team.

Convince me that this will not be the scenario that plays out next weekend.

The committee will read this board and be convinced the end is near.

to me the most important thing is our team getting healthy and back in sync. we play to our best level we can beat anyone. we need to play 3 great games ina a row. at least how i see it college football has really evened out lately, the upper echelon of teams isn't unbeatable like they used to be.

I would put is at 5. I think 6 is fair. I expect the committee to put us at 7 or 8.

I agree but they've been setting the narrative nearly all season, but especially the last months by criticizing our scheudle while practically ignoring iu, orgeon, tech weak schedules while simultaneously giving those teams massive credit for destroying inferior competitors.

Here's the reason, Tech/A&M Cotton Bowl.

We would for sure get put to seven if Kiffin wasn't leaving. I suspect that we will end up at six and play Miami or Virginia (no way they have us play ND again), and then that puts us in for a likely match up with Tech in the quarterfinals assuming no upsets in the championship games. Also, no way we pass Oregon to 5 because they have a better loss (IU) versus our loss.

My question is, if we do get matched up with Tech in the quarterfinals, is there any way that we're playing at the Cotton Bowl?

1 - OSU (likely finishes 1)
2 - Indiana (lose to OSU and finishes 3)
3 - Georgia (beats Alabama and finishes 2)
4 - Oregon (stays or gets passed by Texas Tech with Big XII win)
5 - Texas Tech (see above)
6 - Ole Miss (drops one or more spots in CFP due to Kiffin defection)
7 - Texas A&M

Kanell is not smart

We will be 5 or 6 depending on where Tx Tech gets slotted after they demolish Utah. I expect Tech to get bumped to 3 and thus cast to play the No 6 Ags in Round 2 in Dallas at the Cotton Bowl.

Just last wk, Kanell had us winning the NC.

Whether we like it or not, losing to tu was a colossal eff up on many levels and many reasons. Staff and team blew an opportunity and it will cost.

Bama could jump us and push us to 8, technically.

tt is playing BYU.

This time next week, there will still be 3 11-1 teams that will be top 8. There is a chance a 2 loss UGA stays top 8, not sure on a 2 loss TT or 3 loss 'bama.

I don't think we drop out of top 8.
