We are not dropping behind a 2 loss team for losing a road rivalry game to a playoff bubble team.

We will most likely be 6 or 7, worst case 8 if Bama wins CCG

It isn't for sure that we fall or of the Top 4 when it's all said and done.

Tuesday selection show is going to be painful to watch. I think we'll get punished terribly for a late season loss.

Committee hates us and has been looking for an excuse to punish us and drop us down all season and we gave them the perfectly timed excuse to do so and make us a 9-10 seed

the 8-9 and 7-10 games should be the night games on Friday and Saturday

Your friendly PSA Season ticket holder deadline to reserve their regular seats is Wednesday
I'll be getting that done on Monday

If Oregon wins today, you can pencil in Ags v G5 or ACC in the 11:00 game on Saturday.

Oregon can't host a game at 9:00 am PST

Maybe. We could end up with a visiting teams that doesn't use its full allotment. With school out, will we sell 38,000 student tickets? Those tickets are not included in their season ticket, so they will have to pony up $25, which is not a lot. Will the dorms be open?

There will be plenty of reasonably priced secondary market tickets.

So it's 11:00 with one of the easier teams, or slide to 7 seed with a better time slot against a much better opponent. Give me the former.

Possibly, but I don't know that the Cotton is any more likely than the Sugar or Orange. Rose seems the least likely as that would almost certainly require us to fall to 8 or 9, unless Michigan beats Ohio State and Indiana loses the Big Ten championship game. Given the way these committees always seem to come up with interesting matchups, it wouldn't shock me at all to see Tech as the 3 or 4 seed and us getting the 6 or 5 to set up a Cotton Bowl matchup with them.

People in this thread thinking the committee wouldn't love to have a game hosted at Kyle Field are beyond ******ed.

It won't be for a late season loss. It will be for proving every negative narrative correct. Frauds, posers, weak schedule, bottom half of SEC wins, etc.

Had we won the SEC we would of likely been in the Sugar Bowl for the quarterfinal.
Now I think the Cotton Bowl 2nd round is likely.
The #1 seed gets preferred treatment, the rest are assigned based on factors such as proximity and history with the bowl.
The committee is a room if individuals and there is wiggle room to create matchups of interest.
A possible A&M-Tech matchup in Cotton Bowl is certainly a matchup of interest and makes sense.

I have said for weeks that I feel somehow someway we will see an A&M-Tx Tech Cotton Bowl possibility

You are wrong.

The team, AD and big money boosters rarely* have the feedback they need. The decision makers are operating in a vacumn, because...... We don't boo. We always fill up the stadium. We don't leave in the middle of embarrassingly bad losses. It is what it is.

*The only exception I know of was the revolt started when the AD and big money boosters tried to hire Stoops.
