Please bring extra "mud" cleats for tomorrow's game. If you forgot them, go back and get them. The last time we played the t-sips when ranked higher in Austin, they wet down the field so it looked like it rained for a week and slowed down our defense!

Not sure how you "muddy up" artificial turf, but ok.

This x1,000. I doubt Doobie Williams could have had those yards on a dry field with Dat Ngyuen playing defense.

Make sure you know where all the sprinkler heads are so they don't pop out unexpectedly during a play.

It was Dante Hall that was affected the most. He was given the nickname "human joystick" when playing for the Kansas City Chiefs. He tried to make a cut on one of the first offensive plays and slipped, unable to grip the turf in the mud created by the cheaters in Austin.

Plenty of ways to slow down a synthetic field, not that this one needs any help. It's one of the slowest synthetic fields I've been on.

Beyond that, the field manager is married to a 3rd generation Aggie and his in-laws have been in his ear plenty this week. Can't say nothing to worry about bc it's sip, but I'd be surprised if the field is what they monkey with.

You realize one can water down turf to slow down a team, right? Maybe not "mud" but still slow.

Dimwit needs to be used more in today's world.

Yep. I was living in the Austin area at the time, and it had dry for a good long while. On our first offensive series, Dante takes a pitch out and makes a cut and his feet go out from under him and water goes flying. I remember thinking "what the hell?" Wicky on the other hand was a bigger body type guy who did well in the mud.

Bring every type of shoe imaginable. Who knows what they are going to do. Bring high tops in case they removed the grass and installed a wooden field.
