A lot of WRONG with this thread.
tu suffered through a QB going down a steep learning curve early and mid-season. He's playing much better now (still not an elite QB by any means, but much better). In addition they did lose a lot from last year's team - especially OL and WR. They are still loaded with talent. Not sure who their left tackle is, but he completely neutralized Howell. 247 has their composite talent rank at #4. By comparison, Aggies are #8. They are peaking late season and it feels like we peaked around about the time we played LSU and have regressed a bit for whatever reason.
Elko and staff need to figure out how to get this team to loosen up a bit. Whatever he did for the tu game had them nervous and tight, but you also have to consider that tu was probably the most talented team we played all year and had something to do with our lack of production on offense and poor performance on defense.
Interesting data point - 9 of our opponents this year are ranked in 247 top 25 talent composite rankings. Most of them way under performed for whatever reason.
