Myles Garrett was responsible for three of the sacks on Raiders quarterback Geno Smith and put himself into a position to potentially break the single-season sacks record. Garrett leads the NFL with 18 sacks on the year and only needs five more to top the 22.5 mark set by New York Giants legend Michael Strahan and Pittsburgh Steelers star T.J. Watt.

18 sacks in 11 games, nice work Myles!

Strahan got a cheap one from Favre, he should've given it back.

I hope Garrett shatters it (Strahan conceded yesterday that Myles will break his record). We'll see if Mark Gastineau can accept 3rd place without having a stroke.

Or without 'giving him the business'.

Also want Von to get 3 more this year
That puts him into all-time top 15 (unofficial) and top 10 (official).
*unofficial counts folks that had sacks before the NFL counted them as a stat in 1982

Great career for Myles, but it looks like his career may go down as arguably the least consequential career of any top 20-30 player. Sucks. Browns look so damn hopeless, even coming off a win. From a pure football watching standpoint, I wish Myles had stuck to his trade demand.

Ive been keeping up with Myles and his career. Just a few days ago when I went to go look up career, sack leaders etc. I noticed that J.J Watt is basically right on par with Myles? They've been in the NFL the same amount of time. I dont know how I missed this over the years. I would have thought Myles was in a league of his own.

Myles is currently up 5 sacks in J.J for their career totals

Watt has 121 games played to Garrett's 117. I would say playing on the Steelers' defense has helped Watt more than Myles playing for the Browns. Myles has to be the one man show in Cleveland where Watt has had a far better cast of teammates around him. But don't kid yourself, Watt is a great player, too.

You talking about TJ of the Steelers?

JJ is his brother who played for the Texans and Cardinals.

I say Myles should stop ***** footing around and go ahead and break the record this weekend. No reason to string us along like this.

Always wondered why Myles resigned with Cleveland... It cannot be because he is a nice guy and enjoys Cleveland... Too many opps for a guy like that somewhere else

To put an exclamation point on this, he's had 13 sacks in the last 4 games (freaking insane stat), and the browns went 1-3 in those games.
