At the Samford game, I heard the Corps will not be wearing their uniforms to the game on Friday. Is this true? If so, why not?

Most of the Corps will not be at the game. They don't have tickets. The ones who go after they march will be buying their own tickets so it makes sense that they can wear whatever they want.
The band will be there in uniform.

I think the tradition is for the entire Corps, led by the Band, to march up Congress beginning just south of the river, across the bridge, ending at the Capitol.

We never had tickets for the game in Austin, after the march in was over, we'd usually change clothes and go watch in a bar, or just go home.
That was Big12 policy.

We couldn't afford the tickets 20 years ago, and they have only gotten more expensive.
If this is a mandatory corps trip I would think with all the$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ the university has it could afford tickets for the Cadets.

Visiting schools aren't allocated that many tickets.

I only went to the game in ATX my zip year. I went in uniform and sat in the 3rd deck North Endzone that year. Took a bunch of photos with kids that are now young adults and may have kids of their own. If the CTs want to go in civies that's fine by me. The Longhorn fans in the Walmart/TexEx section was chill

Sorry, I think if we're requiring them to sit in the sun and perform, the least we could do is provide them with something other than water after halftime.

I went with my parents my fish year. The seats were fine, I was surrounded by Ags, but going to the bathroom or concession stand was a gauntlet. Got beer thrown at me and got spit on. It was actually kind of like March in that morning except they were throwing beer instead of beer bottles.

I was told by several current band members. I emailed Trev and a few others but haven't heard anything back.
Yes. I recall not buying tickets for specific seats. We just blocked-into the designated Aggie student section. The tu game was the only one that was a tight compression.

My fish year, one of our dumbass juniors told us not to wear our uniforms to the game. Being dumb fish, we listened to him. Couple of our pissheads saw us. Got smoked good for that one.
