Remember that ESPN, SEC, and sips are all in bed with one another. All three want the sips in the playoff because it will drive ratings and equals more money for all involved. A&M could play a perfect game Thursday and may still lose. If there's ever a hose job alert for a game, it's this one.

They are not predicting sips to win. They had A&M at a 52% chance to make the SECCG, which is essentially our odds to beat Texas. If we lose, by far the most likely matchup is bama-Georgia, which is why they had that matchup at 38% likelihood. If you add up the next two most likely scenarios -- A&M vs bama and A&M vs Georgia -- they add up to 52%, making it more likely than not that we make the SECCG according to espn.

The 52% represents more than just our one game. It's us losing plus the additional odds of Bama losing to Auburn and Ole Miss losing to MSU. So 48% of our win plus like 4% chance of Bama and OM losing.

Good thing Elko and the 2025 A&M FB Team can make their own reality.

what an awesome possibility.

I see this game going like the 05 game the year they won the natty. It was at Kyle Field, we were not good, but because it was the rivalry game, we balled like crazy and lost 40-29. I think the Horns will make it close and we'll pull away 4th quarter.

but I'd rather see us win 96-0.

I think Arch has finally figured it out and that we are in for a VERY tough one on Friday. You can't just dismiss the ridiculous stats he's had over the last three or four weeks. We are still VERY undisciplined and I think he is going to absolutely shred our secondary. It's going to be a shootout and if Marcel is off and we turn the ball over and rack up stupid penalties like we customarily do, it could get ugly.

I think we will know in the first 10 minutes how it's going to go for us as far as the refs are concerned. If our big plays are nullified by penalties, either on offense or defense, trying to put us behind the eight ball from the get go, it's going to be a very frustrating night.
Also, they are going to do absolutely everything they can to protect their Miss USA Manning ….. watch for multiple roughing the passer penalties and questionable pass interference calls.
Plus I bet they try to take out our key defenders with targeting or unsportsmanlike.
It really sad when you can so easily predict things.

You serious Clark? They can't run the football, and the Ags have the best pass rush in the SEC. Arch isnt going to stand back there like a statue like he did against pig or Vandy. The back end of their defense is BAD. They will be missing at least one, if not both lbs for at least a half. Its a rivalry game but don't see sip able to match Ags physically for four quarters.

The only math that counts.

Texas is 77 and 37 against the Aggies. Out of all the games we have played against the sips. 13 times have the Aggies won in Austin. ESPN is not stupid to bet against the Aggies. With so much on the line and how many close games the Aggies have played. This is just another November loss to the sips.

Until we win the big games, of which we have one this year, it's fairly easy to justify predicting we will collapse in big moments.

Texas, ignoring their faults for a moment, schedule big games more often in all sports than we do so it's less of a shock for their players. One hopes we can turn the corner with five big wins in a row this year and change the narrative.

Or says differently: all our games are HUGE from this point.

Yet, the record is closer to .500 in the modern era. Plus we have won twice in the last 4 trips to Asstin.

It's hard to take you seriously when you tell us that wins from the 1800s - 1960s don't have any impact on Friday's game.

But hopefully they won't repeat that performance.

If past performance was indicative of future results, you'd have a point. This is a different year, a different team, and different coach.
Now the sips may very well win but it willl have nothing to do with the record they have against A&M in past games.

I think the Moffitt Effect takes over the 2nd half. I think Arch reverts back to form under our pass rush. He's not going to have many clean pockets.

And Arky's defense has been garbage all season. They can make opposing QBs look better than they are.

I expect a tough game, but if A&M can play all 4 quarters to the standard, Ags will separate in the second half and win comfortably, just not a blowout.

Now if they show up and repeat the first half of USCe, it's going to be an upset.

The media including the SEC Network has had A&M on "upset alert" for pretty much all of the 11 games the Aggies have played this season. The SEC wants a horn win. A&M is a playoff lock. There is a lot of money to be made in the playoffs. One more team with a shot to get in is great in their minds. This season I have pretty much only watched games. No SEC or ESPN shows. A&M being undefeated has turned them all into babbling idiots trying to downplay ever win.

Now do sip record against top 5 teams at home since 2005. I mean, since we are worried about past results and the impact on this game and all.

Don't really pay much attention to those knuckleheads. In case you missed it. This is not about A&M, it's about UGA & Alabama. Nobody is going to give rats ass about A&M, just keep winning and they can't ignore us.

Despite you pointing out they were picking us 10 minutes into the topic, so many still think they pick sips. Will this help?

ESPN FPI gives us a 48.5% chance, but we are 2.5-point road favorites. We won our last two road games against 7-4 (4-4 SEC) LSU and 7-4 (4-4 SEC) Missouri by a combined score of 87-42, but Texas is a tougher road environment. Since the beginning of 2023, Texas is 17-1 in home games, including 9-1 in conference home games, and the only exception was a 30-15 loss to Georgia on 10/19/2024. Hopefully, we beat Texas to secure our first-ever SEC Championship Game appearance.

The FPI changed as the season progressed. At the start of the season, the FPI had us losing to ND, LSU, Mizzou, SC, and the sips.

Also, at the start, the FPI had the sips favored by almost 75%. Now, it is 51%.

With Vegas favoring us by 2.5.
