Let's take this post seriously for just a second. It would actually make sense to take the L to avoid the SEC championship since a loss there would knock us out of the top 4 (no bye) so we'd just play an extra game for nothing.

BUT...If I were on the selection committee I'd make it my mission to punish a team that purposely tanked a game to prevent that type of behavior in the future. Play your games on your schedule....especially during rivalry week.
