Now that tessus is back! How high do they move up after beating the piggies? Do the subjective voters move them up 5 spots or more?

They move up to 3 as we drop down to 4.

Utah comeback was huge. There's one team the committee AKA ESiPN can't justify their golden child jumping

Not sure if this is a serious question but texas will move up to #15. So we will get credit for a Top 15 win which will be nice.

They move up two - Ga Tech laying an egg and USC beat by Oregon. That should be the extent of their ascent.

Sip will move up to 14, passing Vandy bc of the head to head. Ignore BYUs result tonight bc a win over us would justify moving passes both BYU and Utah. But unless there is justification for hopping Alabama or Notre Dame they are first team out.

The committee just this week said they would put a premium on head to head. They can't put them next to each other without putting Texas ahead or backtracking what they said.

You're half right.

Nobody thinks Texas will be overrated like Texags.

The people that think they're going to be top 10 with 3 losses are the same people that expected Arkansas to smoke them by 3 scores.

Was at my grandson's football game late this afternoon in Austin. The two dads behind me are sips. They were talking about the playoff situation to each other. I'm just listening. One guy says "even if we lose to A&M there is no way we will be excluded from the playoffs".

Vandy has two losses. Texas has three losses. Which is why Vandy was 14th in last week rankings and Texas was 17th. Vandy will remain ranked above Texas on Tuesday.

Committee does factor in game control to a certain extent. Would not be surprised to see Miami and Vandy jump Utah in this iteration, especially with SMU likely moving into rankings for Miami, making that loss not look all that bad. Think Miami and Vandy both likely jump Utah next week with wins regardless, given they would be against ranked opponents on road.

It's looking like the only way Texas could get in front of the non-automatic Big 12 teams is for Utah to beat BYU and then lose to Tech.

But as far as the Big 10 they should be locked in at 3 if Michigan loses to OSU. The ACC should be locked in at 1. Assume ND is in by virtue of not getting beat by Top 30 Pitt/USC.

The SEC will get 4-6 depending on how the Big 12 finishes and OU/Vandy play out.

Utah already lost to BYU 24-21; the holy war was back on 10/18. They only have Kansas left on their regular season schedule.

remember Utah's athletic director was added to the committee after Rhoades' departure

it's been a mystery for a while...why Utah (9-2) is so highly rated...with basically zero quality wins

Doh! You'd think I'd do even a basic Google search on skeds before throwing an opinion out there.

Going on the attack not much AI journalism out there right now but would a 2 loss BYU team that picked up its 2nd loss in the CCG be in over 3 loss Bama/Texas teams or a 2 loss Vandy? (Assuming Bama loses to Auburn - otherwise the Tide are pretty clearly in).

Probably so. Absent huge upsets of Tech or BYU next weekend the BIg 12 is putting 2 teams in the playoffs league even if OU beats LSU. Michigan beating OSU could shrink the field too.

The 2025 Triumph: The Aggie Flame

Maroon dusk on Darrell K RoyalTexas Memorial Stadium
where banners crackle, drums mush longwhorn brains.
A sea of maroon, a fevered tide,
the Aggie spirit roaring wide.

The signal fires, bright and bold,
ignite the tale that's just been told.
A countdown hums in steady drums,
the crowd leaning in as greatness comes. Longhorns flee their tainted field.
From the line to spiraling flight,
the passes carve the southern night.
The rush, a furnace fed by faith,
streams through the gaps where routes are wraith. Aggie defense shines.

The Aggie defense hammers like a drum,
each tackle weighed, each blocker numb.
The Longhorns push with stubborn grace,
but stubborn hearts bend sissified to the chase.

First quarter hums with iron will,
second wind sparks a blazing thrill.
The scoreboard reads a maroon crush little brother
as courts of Fightn' Texas Aggie courage crown the brim.

A blitz breaks through the weak ugly orange porous veil,
a quarterback escapes the gale so a 16 year old looking Archie thinks!
A thread, a twist, a crafted seam,
a touchdown glows, a farmer's dream.

The crowd erupts in roaring fire,
maroon and white lift higher and higher.
The band ignites the autumn sky,
while stately oaths of grit reply.

Third and long, the chain howls tight,
the offense gleams with steady light but are crushed by the Aggie goons!

Aggie's ball -
A patient drive, a measured crew,
dots each yard with honor true.

By fourth, the field grows drawn and loud,
the Aggie will becomes the crowd.
A final stamp, a fearless roar,
the scoreboard sings, the legends soar.

The clock reports a victor's name, these are the world famous undefeated Aggies!

The field remembers every flame.
Concurring Aggie hearts, but earning grace,
in rivalry's enduring chase.

So raise the hats, let cheers resound,
in the now empty burnt orange ground.
For 2025, the tale is told:
the Fightin' Texas Aggies, bold and gold.

The sips get tea-bagged by the Aggie D

You seem to have forgotten that ACC champ will get an autobid plus G5. So for a second big 12 team to get in they need to be ranked 10 or higher. Which means they need another upset of an existing top 10 team while hoping that Michigan or t.u. don't get huge upsets to jump them.
