Why do people always seem to say these scenarios are silly? The ones where one team is behind another even though they beat them? It's all about timing. Just because you beat one team and they are ahead of you, the timing of losses come into play. I guess I don't see the craziness or silliness in it
I agree re your take on timing. And I agree with Josh Pate that it would indeed be silly (or ridiculous, if you prefer) for the team that just won the SEC conference championship by defeating Texas A&M, and beat the 2nd or 3rd place team at their place, to NOT be ranked ahead of both of them.
"Silly" is probably not a strong enough word. Let's try "INCONCEIVABLE", even for a dumbass Committee.
(and btw, you misrepresented what i said. I didnt just blanket say it would be silly to rank a team behind another it just beat. why would try to distort by not being honest with the plainly evident discussion?
