This isn't a 3 deep stacked Bama team anymore. Beating them doesn't mean much. In a few years, it'll mean even less.

Beating Alabama means A LOT. Particularly beating them in T-Town.

Good result for Reed's Heisman chances.
Bama still holds the tiebreaker for getting into Atlanta if they beat Auburn. I'd rather play them than Georgia.
If Georgia wins Alabama is still ahead of Ole Miss and Georgia due to conference opponent win percentage. Same for if Texas wins out. I don't think there's enough games for Georgia to leap Alabama in opponent win percentage.Pumpkinhead said:Tergdor said:

Are you sure they are going to hold the tie-breaker? It is pretty complicated when you have multiple conference teams with a single loss. Georgia, Ole Miss, Bama, and Texas all have only one loss right now. Of course one of Georgia and Texas will have 2 losses after today.

I think I overstated my point. This is just beating a good (great, whatever you want to say) team on the road. NOT beating Nick Saban's Invincibles.
Did a few more scenarios, for Georgia to get past Bama you'd need a 3 way tie and for chaos to happen. Vandy and Missouri would have to lose multiple games.Tergdor said:If Georgia wins Alabama is still ahead of Ole Miss and Georgia due to conference opponent win percentage. Same for if Texas wins out.
