100% correct.

As a person that moved to TX from PA, I can tell you that the state does not support the football program the way TX supports their flagship schools. Mike Elko knows it, he's never getting out of Harrisburg what he gets our of Austin. The politics are not the same.

PA has not had the HS football programs it had when Paterno was winning, the population moved to TX, which has a large pool of talent and solid HS programs.

Penn State's problems are deeper than coaching, they had the best DC in CFB or highest paid, and James Franklin had them in the playoff last year, with many 10 win seasons. I don't believe it was coaching that prevented them from beating Ohio State, it was depth of roster. The very reason A&M is having success this season.

You give Mike Elko or Lane Kiffin the roster at PSU and you get the same results.

The Elko's don't seem to be as driven by money as our past coaches.

Sumrall has apparently been sniffing around Auburn for a while. Would love to see a bidding war from 2 programs that can out-crazy each other.

Aggieland is known for great traditions, great facilities, great support and fanatical fans. Pedo State is known for whiteouts in a portion of the country where there's nothing better to do and coaches buggering little boys. I know which job I consider better.

Drinkwitz is just as good an option - maybe better, no offense to Elko - and easier to get imo.

I recently watched the 30 for 30 on the SMU scandal. At one point SMU was one of five SWC schools (and there were only nine) on NCAA probation. They didn't do anything that everyone wasn't doing, but they kept getting caught (and still wouldn't shutdown their "payroll"). They deserved the death penalty.

Penn State sheltered a pedophile, which is SO MUCH WORSE than anything SMU did. It's a disgrace that their program wasn't given a two year death sentence. SMU's death sentence was actually one year. In 1988 they chose not to field a team because on the NCAA restrictions that they would have faced.

Drinkwitz can do much better than Mizzou, and I'd be happy to have him out of the SEC. He makes me cringe more or less any time he speaks.

Why are you asking this board? You apparently are going to worry anyway. This has been addressed multiple times. Whatever Elko decides won't be made known until after the season because Elko wants to win this year with the current team that he has built. These threads are a beating.

His wife didn's say that she wanted to say.. And quite honestly, I am not sure her opinion would matter to him at all.

As stated, the Elko's are much better people.

He's not going to Penn State. I'm sure they want him, and some rando analysts may think it would be a good move for him, but there is nothing from anyone with even peripheral knowledge that he has any interest. This isn't even at the level of his agent is leaking stuff to work a raise. I'm sure we will take care of him at season's end.

And personally, as someone originally from Pennsylvania there is no way I'd even consider going back there from Texas.

Rumors like this are usually more a reflection of the arrogance of the fan base than they are of any real smoke. Penn State just fired a coach that almost led them to the promised land just a year ago. Apparently, Franklin was fired because a powerful minority of the big money alums didn't think he was Joe-pa enough. Everything else aside, that is reason enough to stay as far away from that quagmire as possible. Elko is a smart man. He could go to a place where he will always be in someone else's shadow, or he can stay in a situation he created and become the big dog casting the giant shadow. Just ask yourself what a smart man would do.

I am unsure Penn State is even a top destination considering what else is open.

I live here in PA and know some pretty strong donor alums of Penn St. I'm worried. Very worried. Theyre desperate to make the perfect hire and have money to make it happen. They got that Marcellus Shale money and thats become pretty big here in PA.

Pedo State needs a ton of copium which is why they think that targeting = the coach will say yes. They won't admit it but they made a huge mistake firing Franklin.

With Florida, LSU and Auburn having open jobs it is going to be extremely difficult to upgrade the consistency Franklin had built. Drinkowich is not an upgrade.

Brent Key would be hilarious because Franklin is a way better coach.

Elko isn't going there now matter how hard they click their feet together and wish for it.

As per an article I read on 247, A&M spends or has spent double that Penn St has in NIL.

Between that, AND I believe A&M will match or surpass any other offer Elko will get... he stays
