In 2008, I went to the A&M game at New Mexico in Albuquerque. (Yes, we played an away game against New Mexico.) They had this chant where they'd shape their hands like a dog and yell, "Everyone's a Lobo. Woof! Woof! Woof!" and then make their little hand dogs bark.

When my then-future wife and I walked past a group of students everyone started shouting it at us and acting all tough while they woofed. I wouldn't call it respectful or disrespectful but I would say it was one of the damn funniest things I've ever seen in my life.

From my experience:

Best:
1. Nebraska fans were very cordial when I attended in 2007.
2. Clemson in 2005. Beautiful campus, and I was invited to a couple of tailgates.
3. Utah. I was invited to a tailgate, and they asked a lot of questions. For those who remember the shirts they used to sale at the MSC or Loupot's, they had the girl kissing the guy who went to Utah. The rejected girl had the BYU emblem just like the shirt we had with us and the sips.

Worst:
1. Tech. Was in a wreck before our game in 2003, and I was on the side of the road holding my bleeding forehead with a 12th Man towel. Multiple shoutouts of "I hope you effing die!"
2. KState. Were mostly cordial, but I was told to go effing home at 9AM by students as I got to campus.
3. Miami. I'm a heavy set guy, and I heard a few oink oink calls as I walked to the Orange bowl. Ignored it as I wasn't going to get into it with a bunch of schlubs who probably didn't attend.
4. sips haven't been to bad. Other than an **** call or sheep bleat, they've been tame.

tu is the worst but its a rivalry so i get that.

Beyond that CU at boulder has the most idiotic fan base in the country.

been to numerous road games over the years and bowl games ( A&M and non A&M games)
, nothing compares to chit treatment received in Tuscaloosa in 2022 for a&m game

at Texas Tech in 2001 was a close 2nd

Ive never had an issue at LSU for baseball or football.
Took my kids ages 6 and 13 to A&M/LSU game in 2021 and had zero issues.

Saw several arguments/ fights ect at last years Cotton Bowl Ohio State vs Texas and pretty much all Ohio State was issue .

LSU is downright bad, probably the worst out there, and they don't even seem ashamed of it.

From my personal experience:

The good guys
Auburn
Kansas
Kansas State
Virginia Tech
Oklahoma State
Mississippi State
Nebraska

The bad guys
LSU
Tech
Baylor

The Neutrals

Ole Miss
Oklahoma
sips
Bama

There is a pattern. The land grant schools tend to have respectful people who are salt of the earth. So-called flagship schools tend to produce entitled punks and T shirt fans.

I've been to most SEC stadiums with my buddies, the good fans in my experience were Ole Miss, Missouri and Alabama, bad were LSU ofc and South Carolina. Never had a bad experience in a SWC or Big 12 road game, and never seen unruly fans from any school at Kyle Field.

Our trip to Auburn in 2016 was spectacular!

Their fans were incredibly kind and respectful, to the point where it was very noticeable. People went out of the way to congratulate us after our win. Felt like A&M!

I'll start with the good

1) Auburn. Went there in 2012 and their fans were so cool and welcoming it was almost nauseating. Totally caught me off guard after all those years in SWC/BDF

2) Clemson. Both at home and on the road. Very cool bunch.

3) Va Tech. Can't remember what year exactly they came to Kyle but tailgated with a number of them and they were all top notch

4) and this one kinda surprised me……Florida. Had heard some not so great things about them but they couldn't have been much better at the swamp last year. Of course I think they were more focused on hating Napier than they were us

Mid……
1) Tennessee. Fantastic and very sociable outside Neyland. Total bunch of jackwads inside. Never seen a more bipolar fan base

2) Notre Dame. Sounds like the fans at Kyle last year were horrible so was expecting the worst at South Bend this year. Most of them were actually pretty cool. If a little butthurt after the game.

I'm putting Bama and tu fans in the same bag. Most of the alums and olds were actually pretty cool. It's the tshirts and current students that need a crowbar upside the head

Ole Miss, Scar and Georgia go in the same bag too. Not awful but not particularly friendly either

The worst list is easy

As mentioned earlier…,,1) by a mile is Ohio St. Most pathetic bunch of scumbags I've ever been around. Which is saying something when compared with 2) swamptard and 3) techtard. I've never been to Boulder but the stories I've heard from people who have put them squarely on this sh** list too

Baylol fans can be jackasses too but in a laughable, pathetic sort of way

I've been punch by a sip in the back. Granted it was a t shirt fan.

They are the most arrogant.

From 2006-2010, I had "public season tickets" which were on the first deck, sandwiched between the student section and the visitors' section (which often included their band). At about $425 a seat which no donation required, it wasn't a bad deal at all. I never witnessed any verbal or physical altercations between fans. The vast majority of people just go to cheer on their own team.

Here's my memories of certain fanbases during that time:

1. tu - they don't directly confront you. They make loud, obnoxious comments about how bad/dumb/jealous/poor/lowly Texas A&M is to each other. They only get loud if they win, when they yell "poor Aggies".

2. TTU - I've heard horror stories about Lubbock, but they seemed to behave at Kyle where I was sitting. The most obnoxious was a drunk guy with a flask sticking out of his back pocket screaming "I LOVE MIKE LEACH" over and over right after they won in 2006. Pretty harmless IMO. I was just mad at our own team for giving that one away.

3. OU - They were the angriest fans, but it was directed at their own team and coach instead of us. You'd swear Bob Stoops was Dennis Franchione the way they ranted. Every negative play for them had to be the direct result of an obvious coaching blunder or lazy/selfish play.

4. Oklahoma State - The friendliest by far. They cheered loud for their own team. but were great sports win or lose. That's the fanbase who I interacted with the most, and it's not even close.

5. Nebraska - QUIET. That 2010 game was one of the most intense I've ever seen in person. We won 9-6 with no TDs on either side. They had a decent amount of fans show up, but you wouldn't know it from the noise.
