He is starting to play like a faster Moss and we need it. Smith and the frosh are contributing at a high level just in time.

With Moss graduating I would like to see a slightly bigger back paired with him for next year. I like Morrow but would like to keep him as a third for a season more.

Owens looks heavier now. He will be the big back with the speedsters assisting. I would bet he is 220-222 next year.
He definitely has bulked up and looks much stronger and sturdy.LatinAggie1997 said:Lurker44 said:

Owens is starting to round into form
He runs hard and is much more decisive than he was at the start of the season
Dude has more power than I thought he did

He got hurt last season so that set him back. If you watch his highschool highlights he burst through holes and wasn't hit much, I figured it would take a bit for him to get use to getting stuffed. That long TD run he had was a good sign that he has developed and ready
to be a top SEC back.

His vision still sucks, but it seems Trooper and Co are grinding on him.
In high school he could just outrun people after either 1 cut or already having a crease and straight-lining full tilt.
Although yesterday he made a cutback that gives hope. Best read of his college career so far.
That kid is different. Like Achane Gibbs different.nealan said:

He outruns his blockers a lot when we pull….he isn't a patient runner, waiting for the hole to develop, but is getting a little better every week. He is great on the outside though with that speed.
