Sumlin got caught in a similar type of situation with Kyler Murray, son of Kevin Murray. Had to sign the guy due to fan demands. Had to play him, due to Kevin's demands and mishandled every step. But he was still coaching in game. Malzahn and Mustain just ignored Nutt's calls altogether. Did what they wanted to run.

My father who was a razorback grad, thought it was the greatest thing since slice bread when Mustain committed to Arkansas, was even a huge fan of Malzahn coming to Arkansas. When everything imploded with Houston Nutt, Gus Malzahn and Mustian I asked how he was feeling, his only reply was, at least we don't lose games 77 to 0. Living with a Razorback dad was comical at times. Especially when A&M entered the SEC.
