Arguably should be 1, but this is same group that put Ohio State in playoff during covid when they didnt have enough games played to really qualify for consideration and in same breath said if Ole Miss/Aggie would have beem played and Aggies had another win that may have made the difference. (Side note, another reason to dislike Ole Miss pulling out of that game, just play with small number of guys and lose)
Ohio State played in only 5 regular season games before the 2020 Big 10 Championship Game. Big Ten Conference rules established before the season specified that teams would need to complete at least six conference games in order to be eligible for the conference championship game. After Ohio State's game against Michigan was canceled, and Ohio State having only completed five games, the conference voted to change these rules and allow the undefeated Ohio State team to represent the East Division. The conference cited the fact that Ohio State would have won the division with either a win or loss against Michigan.
2020 Ohio State Buckeyes football team - Wikipedia I hated how our 2020 home game against Ole Miss was postponed several times before it was ultimately cancelled. I think we would have beaten Ole Miss, finished with a 9-1 regular season record, and likely gotten the last playoff spot.
